Hope theres a better turn out then what was at Orange county sunday, pretty slim car count........ $22.00 before I got in the gate.... just saying, a little steep for marginal show, heard lots of grumbling in the parking lot and on the way to the entrance, the guy parked next to me told me to cut my losses (since I already paid for parking) and save the 17 bux, his words not mine "it sucked" ..... I did have to laugh one lady said to her husband at the entrance, quote, 17 bux to get in!!!!?? This better be the show of the century!! pretty sure he's not gettin any tonight!:D

I wasn't there, but most GG shows are light on Sunday. People that live far away usually don't show up on Sunday.

Goodguys Nashville will be a good one. The autocross should be good. (The Tuckers should be here again).

I am glad this years show is in May. In years past the show was held at the end of June which was extremely hot.

How else is going?

67 Mustang, 71 Camaro, 66 Corvette and 69 Camaro. Also we will have a 66 and 71 Chevy C10 truck to run as well. Just need to find enough bodies to shuttle them to the show on Friday morning.

Hey Corey how's it going? Have you been to the Murfreesboro cruise in this year?

Like to see Finch's '69 Camaro also.

Are you going to the show all 3 days? I will look for you at the auto-x.

Man, it's thundering and raining at the moment. Hopefully tomorrow and the rest of the weekend will be clear.

Not yet! I'm still in the process. I did get to ride with Brian in his 71 at the SuperSpeedway and I highly recommend it if you get the chance. He is the reason why I am going with an LS motor. So, it's all your fault Brian:lol:

Are you building your '69 or is someone else building it?

Ron, things are going good man. I have not been to the cruise-in yet, I was actually hoping to go tomorrow night if the weather holds up. I just put new SSBC front brakes on couple weeks ago, so I've been itching to get the Camaro out and do some driving. I will be at Goodguys on Friday, prob get there around 9 or 10am. Let's hope this weather goes in our favor.

I am having my '69 Bird built. It will probably be several years before it is completed. I do not have the room or talent to build a car.

Good to hear about your new brakes. It's always fun to upgrade with new parts. Let me know how you like them. The TV news calls for rain in the morning through early afternoon but hopefully stays clear of the Titans stadium.

I am going with a 6.0 liter with a cam swap and probably an LS6 intake. What kind of car do you have?

jake72ss

I dont have anything myself right now, but Dad currently owns a 72 ss chevelle that he and I have traded several times. It has some very mild pro touring style mods, that were probably state of the art in the early 80's, 454 and tko600.

Man Finch what a killer/beautiful '69 you built. Wish all the lateral-g gang could see this car in person. Beautiful dark green color (what is the color name by the way). The interior, the engine and engine bay, complete cage, wheels and stance and every mod on this car is top notch.

Is it true you built this car in 4 months?

When you have time I would like to hear more about this '69 and all of the details...suspension, engine, etc.

At the auto-cross site Finch has the yellow '71 Camaro, black '66 Vette, and the killer green '69 Camaro he built for a client. Mike (hifi875) has the nice silver '69 Camaro.

i had a blast, even though i was slow. i was getting better but one of my last two runs didn't get a time for some reason and on the last one i spun coming off of thelast corner and took out the timing sensor i guess, it was gonna be my best run. any way i have to get more practice. btw it was nice talking with you ron.

You look like you were having fun. You got better with each run. Did you damage anything on the car when you spun? Did you run today (Saturday)? Was Finch the over all winner?

Good seeing you again.

Our 65 Pontiac Temptress had fastest overall time on Friday, ended up finshing 3rd behind Finch's Camaros in Non-vendor. I started in Vendor class, but Goodguys moved us to non-vendor, long story. We had quickest A body at the event by .03 over Brett's 66 Chevelle and DSE 65.
