I just picked up a set of front and back GTO seats for my 70 Chevelle to replace the bench.
How do the fronts mount to the floor? Which holes do you line them up with and how what is the best way of making new holes to accomodate the seats?
How would you make the power seats work?
How would you go about widening the back seats to make them fit?
What has everyone done for the seatbelts?
Thanks for all the help as I would rather going into the install with more koweledge.

You might have better luck over on a Chevelle forum or maybe on performanceyears.com forum to see if anyone has mounted them in a GTO.

Set the front seats in your car and see where you the most comfortable, Take your measurements and start fabbing brackets to meet the original holes or make new ones.Keep checking to make sure your square and level. As far as the back seat ...You will have to take cover off and widen frame and foam on the center then have someone sew a new cover

This might help out guys, here's a 65 GTO with front and rear 06 GTO buckets that have been modified, custom brackets and shortening of the cushions...... Forms are made for fiberglass which will later be removed.... http://www.hubgarage.com/mygarage

I am trying to do the same thing to my 70lemans. I would like to put bucket seats in the rear and the front and then build a custom console to go from the front under the dash all the way to the rear. My question is does anyone have the dimensions needed for the seats in the rear i.e. can the rear buckets simply be a set of front buckets without modification? or do they have to be cut?

WE TOOK A SECTION OUT OF OUR REARS SO THAT THEY DIDNT SIT UP HIGHER THAN THE FRONTS, OUR HEIGHTS BETWEEN FRONT AND REAR ARE THE SAME....WE'VE ASLO GOT A CONSOLE GOING FROM FRONT TO BACK WITH A VERY TRICK SET UP WITH THE PACKAGE TRAY......WILL POST MORE PICS ON THIS IN A COUPLE OF WEEKS.....AS FAR AS DEMENSIONS GO, BUST OUT THE TAPE MEASURE AND TAKE YOUR TIME BEFORE YOU CHOP IT UP......AND DON'T FORGET ABOUT COMFORT.... GOOD LUCK

a while back i put 06 gto in my 64 chevelle
fronts were pretty straight forward just had to cut seat floor brackets to lay flat against floor and then used .5"X1.5 rectangular metal tubing to level it out
the rears I had to do fight with
youll have to cut the inner structure because they are a bit to tall and also progressebly cut the plastic under it to accomodate the your floor I also built a center console for it as the seats were way narrow
google frank's chevelle it should lead you to a cardomain page I have a few pics there
you can also cut a small hole on your floor so the rear seat latches off and on with the seat tab
