Here are some pics of my project car. It is a 1967 Lemans sport coupe (hardtop). Believe it or not the car was stolen. And was missing for about 18 months. It was recovered outside the thief's barn. Are you ready for this? He put in a new headliner in the car and threw a cheap paint job on it to disguise the car.

And you can see the paint peeling off. I don't have a garage so I work outside on it. The interior floor is solid. My wife painted the floor and trunk with POR-15 for me. If I can just teach her to change oil and do brakes I would sleep all day.

As you can see I have a lot of body work ahead of me. Which I plan to do myself! Wish me luck LOL! The engine work I will farm out to Chief Many Horses here in Massachusetts. They seem like a good bunch of guys to me. If anyone has any suggestion let me know.

Picks of my sorry project. BULL SH_T. Stay positive! All it takes is time and money. It has taken me over 30 years to get my GTO to were I want it.

Nice project. How about some more specs, upgrades, etc?

KEEP THE FAITH!!!!

Thought I would give a short update. Life happens (divorce) but I was able to retain all my parts and car and move on. An example for everybody who is going through rough times. Try to hold on.

The car is in a new 5 car garage without a home association which means I can work on it outside/inside without worry.

And now the new hotness below. A traditional 428ci Pontiac no LSX for me :D

The body still looks like trash but that was unavoidable with limited budgeting. I did get the engine completed except for some Pontiac specific pulleys I need to source. I also to save cash took on the build with the help of a local buddy who is a talented machinist. He basicallly helped me through assembly so I would not hose anything thing up.

It's been 20 years since I built the first engine that still resides in the car. And I am proud that with the help of some friends and associates that at least the mechanical side is coming together. And with all the new tech advances I needed the schooling. Here are the specs:

Here's a few specs:

Hey, its a nice car give it some credit.

Your not being a cookie cutter type of guy you have a Pontiac be proud.

Question what are you doing with the 400?

Thanks for the kind words. I am keeping the 400 as a spare or mock up motor.
