My potential front susspension set up. Criticism most welcomed

Ok, well after posting my first initial thread a month or so ago about what i should do with my front suspension (new dse or build up my stock) i decided to breath new life into my stock subframe with the help of some new parts.

First off, a big thanks goes out to TyOneal, ItDoRun, and 70RS, for having some extensive chats with me about my options. nothing but great info from them and once again, its much appreciated.

After telling them im a 22 year old college student with a limited income, they got me pointed in the right direction and to drop my dillusion of a DSE or Art Morrison frame.

So now my question is, what do you guys think about the SpeedTech Road Assualt Kit. Frank can get it to me for about 100 bucks cheaper via GroupPurchase, and that is shipped! :thumbsup: so thanks for the quote Frank. I dig the kit and it looks pretty good. Any objections to this kit or any alternate routes you guys think i should look into?

You are like me. 22 years of age and in college... dreaming of a PT build. I've been talking to guys at speed tech, etc.

From what I got, even the road assault package is over a lot of peoples budgets. But that is what I'm going with (at least for now). People recommend the TVS kit will do but I want tubular UCA and LCA. I'm going with hotchkis 3'' drop springs in the rear with some qa1 or blistein shocks...

I might do chicane coilover mounts and change the UCA to higher clearance ones..

I think from reading and doing a lot of reading....(trust me, I've probably bugged a few members on here about stuff but I've came a long ways!!) I think OLC is running a stock frame but with a lot of work/help on its geometry

haha yeah man sucks being broke lol. but yeah i think the road assault is probably my best bet. dont wanna buy a bunch of stuff then replace is when i get the wild hair to go from coil springs to coilovers, etc. i love buggin the guys on here...so knowledgeable. One lap is sick with the whole Chicayne front suspension, really made that stock subframe a work of art.

Also good to see someone else checking out the road assault package. Im trying to sell my engine right now to get the cash for the suspension, so youll probably get it before me. Let me knwo what you think about it. Show me some pics too if you get a chance and ill do that same wehn i get my front end torn apart

What are you going to do to build in more camber gain, i.e., correct the front end geometry?

some good info in that article. thanks for showing me that. Currently i have two inch drop spindles. i was thinking about keeping those for now. ideally id love to put the ATS spindles on but i dont think i can afford 1000 bucks for spindles, so we'll see

Do a search on those drop spindles, they can cause wheel to tie rod interference.
