The 1st annual RTTC event had some of the best looking Camaro's on the West Coast but the one car that I could not just enough of was DFRESH 69 Camaro.. He nailed the stance on this car perfect in my opinion!! When he & Vegas69 drove into the event I was automatically drawn over to it.. A 69 Camaro just looks right sitting this low to the ground :unibrow:
Thanks for the invite to your house after the event Doug!

Cris ---
Can I tell ya somethin' ?
LOL
Two hottest looking cars at RTTC -- Dougs and Todds.... Todds SOUND was unbeatable -- right after the WHINE from James OL car... Not sure where the whine came from - but it sounded kool and set it apart.
Sorry I had to get on the road home early I would have liked to have hung around awhile, but you guys were probably happy... :>)
XOXO

Meant to say -- James OL cars sound was right AFTER Todds --- not the other way around.

Both of Dougs car are bad ass.
James OL Camaro, Im not sure where that whine was coming from but it sounded like it had a supercharger on it. I think the whine came from the short air filter on the intake. Not sure where else it would come from? Tranny, or rear end?

I just love Doug - even if he only owned a pedal car...
I think Shipka has a speaker hooked up to his alternator...
:woot:
Having said that -- he'll probably want to return my donation to his and DP's effort now. LOL

It's the alternator... or more specifically (we think) the alternator/pulley combination. We've been meaning to work on it but it's low on our priority list. The only thing that it seems to hurt is my brain when I try to explain that no... the car doesn't have a blower. lol
Thankfully, you can't really hear it inside the car.
And Greg - I've been trying to find the time but until I do - Thank You.

The sound isn't annoying outside. We knew that the car wasn't supercharged. We just couldn't figure out what was making the sound.

I was thinking that David Pozzi had installed one of them there Tornados in the intake hose from Autozone.

I know that "we" know that's it's not supercharged - but David and I hear the comment every time we take the car somewhere new. It eventually gets old (although not as old as the Penny comments) lol. Those days, however, are behind us.

I was at the event and loved this Camaro too..Question from a rookie.......does this car have a new chassis (ie AME MaxG) or was it achieved with a front clip and quadralink rear?

I actually loved the sound it made... kind of like a "quiet" gear drive... and or the blower. Stuff like that doesn't "work" on a car that doesn't run or handle right -- but that's not the case here! You hear this car coming - and see it being tossed with ease... to me it makes it stand out.
James - "welcome", hope it helped.

Thanks guys--glad people like the looks of the car---Cris, you are welcome to come over to my place after the next RTTH event also---we'll do it all over again--it was just way too fun. Thanks for the compliments on the car, coming from you--considering the quality of work you do--it's a very great compliment indeed. Hope you can make the coastal run up to Pleasanton in June with us---bring Thor with you. Talk to you soon--

Mike, it still has the stock subframe with only bolt on mods; Speedtech upper and lower control arms, QA1 coilovers, Speedtech sway bar and Speedtech ATS Spindles. Was hoping to put the Speedtech torque arm in the back, but as of now the car has a G-Bar 4 link with varishocks in the rear.

Yeah--that was something wasn't it----two spins in one day---one in the Hyundai and the other in mine---neither of them were even half as glorious as your almost intentional spin was---you looked much better in the hat though---you were "Queen of the day" fo sure--

You know, I really don't think I could pick a favorite car out there. I was one of the guys doing the tech in the morning and was in and out of and all around all the cars. I could only pick one that I didn't like. Should be kinda obvious when I say it left early. All the rest of the cars were damn nice cars.
