I am wanting to put a colored clear coat or tranparent color coat on my carbon fiber parts.

What is the best way to do this?

I will be using either HOK or Auto Air Color products on the rest of the car. Which is easier to work with and has better outcome.

I am needing to know if I can tint the first layer or two fo the clear coat or should I use a transparent paint of some type?

Pearl is planed if I can do what I am wanting to do.

I am wanting the carbon fiber to show through but wanting to get a little bit of color to blend it better with the rest of the paint job.

Any silver based candy might look good. Mask off the CF for the base, then paint over with a few coats of candy mid-coat. I would try some test pieces... good luck!

My orginal plan was to go with a Metallic Cobalt blue with Graphite pearl for the painted portions of my body work. SO I am looking for a lighter blue for the CF.
But a blue silver mix would look good also or how would a lighter blue with a silver pearl look?

I would find a tri-coat kandy or pearl like House of Kolor and buy some samples to spray some tests on sections of CF stock. It would def give a custom look.

You can mix any kind of metallic / pearl in a binder coat (transparent base), then clear over the top of it. Depending on how much of a color effect your after.
