hey,
i got a 57 chev bel air with a stock 350 sb chev and i was lookin at putting a ls1 5.7L motor in it. i was wondering, will it fit without any engine bay mods beside basic mounting?

I saw a couple at Car Craft last year that had the LS1 and AC in their car. So it can be done :)

I have heard of a couple different set ups to go with. I know Street & Performace offer mounts for the LS-1 that will bolt up to stock style Chevy Motor mount. We used them on my brothers 66 Nova. Worked out pretty good. I have only done one other & the frame was custom built & had the mounts already installed for the LS-1. The guys at Street & Performance are great to deal with & have done a ton of these conversions. The offer everything to do the swap.
