Hi all, kinda new here and I'm looking at some Rushforth wheels. I know they are popular so I'm looking for you input.
I like both the Livewire and SuperSpokes and I'm leaning toward the brushed and cleared centers with polished hoops but have considered the titanium coated centers as well. I think black and gunmetal are too dark for my tastes. Just looking for opinions, thanks !

I think the SuperSpokes with a brushed center would look bad ass. Give me call if you have questions.

Agreed, they look killer on this Chevelle, thanks for responding Justin.

Agree with justin. Brushed super spokes would look killer on that car.

I like both designs, but am kind of leaning on the side of the Livewires with a brushed center. Either way you can not go wrong. Nice looking car!

I agree with Eric on this. Your car has 'squareish' lines to it and I think the !st ones would fit in with that.

I very rarely give wheel opinions, I find the decision as important as a womens wedding dress decision.

Either would look good to me, I would flip a coin.

With the color of your car,I wouldn't do a brushed center...too light...IMHO.

If that were my car,I'd consider a smoked titanium or gunmetal center with polished & cleared hoops...that's what I'd do.
Have someone photochop them on there and see for yourself.

Sweet car by the way...dare to be different.

musclecarjohn has a good point on the color. And if anyone knows how to choose the right wheels it's him....:D

18 inch or larger?

ProdigyCustoms
03-17-2010, 06:23 AM
Sizes i will comment on all day. And that thing is screamin for 18s / 19s. I think 18s on the rear will look to small.

And I will go out on a limp and say were it mine I would do a colored center also. Expecially if the black viynl top is staying

18 inch or larger?

18's on the rear, 17's will stay up front. 18/19 or 19/20 puts me way over budget because I'm going with 18x12's with 335's those are enough as is. :)
I do think that 18/19's would look good.

edit: not way over budget, checking out pricing on 18/19's now, looks like Nitto has a 335 30 19 that is priced pretty good.

torino420

The top is staying as is. That's what got me thinking of doing black centers but not sure I like that look. Titanium is highly under consideration though.

Vinyl top is awesome,love it.
My vote is no to black centers, would get lost, even just sitting again...IMHO.

Gunmetal or smoked titanium all day long and I would not do a 17/18 combo, fronts will look too small. If it was my car,I would consider either 18's all around or a 18/19 combo...that would look slick.

Now...which Rushforth wheel to choose?:_paranoid Personally, the Livewire isn't my favorite choice because of the sharp straight spokes but hey...your car, your decision.Only you can answer that.
Have you considered Fuel's?

Oh...and no exposed hardware on this car either...

I am highly considering the 18/19 combo now, its really not a whole lot more after doing some research, just will have to go with a different tire then i was originally planning.

Definitely hidden hardware and I think gunmetal is still a tad dark, so leaning toward Titanium at the moment. The fuels look nice but I'm down to livewire or superspokes.

again, thanks everyone for your comments, they've really helped!

18/19's! Nitto NT05 335/30/19 tire in the rear. We sell a ton of them to guys in the same situation as you. Give me a call and I will put a package together with the Nitto tires mounted and balanced shipped to your door.

Actually I can put together and package that will make the 18 / 19s LESS money then 17 / 18s. Call me.

And for the record, the viynl top is cool on that car.

You could not miss with any colored center. Matte black would look MEAN and match the Viynl top. Gloss black would loook rich. Gunmeter, any grey would look good too.

Its is actually 8.75% here in California. Which is why for our California customer we ship for free to help offset the cost of sales tax.

Play nice boys.... :drama:

torino420- If there is one piece of advice I can give its to always go with your gut. I recently went back and forth for months trying to decide on a wheel for a specific project only to order the original one I first thought of. I went thru literally dozens of styles and color options. In the end I was extremely happy with the wheel I chose and all I lost was a few months

hehe I know the feeling and my wife wonders why I'm grumpy lately, probably this wheel decision lol. I'm sure either wheel in Titanium or Brushed will satisfy me. As Frank said, "flip a coin" on the two wheel choices.

thanks for the advise :)

Don't stay with 17s in the front. If you are spending that much on wheels get a size that looks the best. The 17s on my car are too small. 18/19 for sure.

Hey black vinyl with stainless trim. Dark green with stainless wheel wells. Dark grille with stainless outline. Hmm I smell theme dark center with polished hoops. I vote black but that's just me.

Vinyl top is cool on the formal roof. I'm a fastback guy myself oh yea I have a fastback...........

Yep, going with 18/19's now.
I recognize your name and car. :)

Right now, I'm sitting at SuperSpokes with titanium centers (not too light and not too dark) with polished hoops no matter what! No hardware either, not a fan of that.

Yep you and I traded some mails on RRS stuff a while back maybe even some info on tire fitment.

I think without the hardware the wheels dont look quite as good. I say hardware all the way on the Rushforth wheels. Other wheels like Fikse look great without hardware but I think the Rushforth wheels need the hardware...jmho

I could go either way on that, normally I'm not an exposed hardware kinds guy because of upkeep and with four cars,I have no time for extra detailing but...when I saw the Superspokes in full smoked titanium w/hardware on display in Driverzinc's tent @ Pleasanton,I was hooked...

You really need to see these wheels in person first...

I'm still saying to go gunmetal with your green shade and that vinyl top, smoked titanium will look good no doubt but I think gunmetal would be over the top.:unibrow:

Imagine these w/o hardware and with polished hoops...

Maybe try shooting Jason Rushforth(JayR) a PM with that question. If he sold the wheels he will know who owns it. If that fails try Driverz Inc. They are another vendor here for Rushforths, so is Prodigy and several others.

Just a thought, hope it helps.
