Very nice car Skip. Love the fact that is has the DSE sub frame and Quadra-Link. Key selling points for me. (No surprise there, huh?!?!) lollll...:wow:

Skip--that sucks! The guy just finished it last year didn't he? If I were going to buy another one, this would be it. I can't believe he is already getting rid of it---I thought he preferred it over all his other vehicles--I think that's what it said in the Camaro Performers article anyways---will be a great car for whomever buys it.

Doug, my schedule is tight next week with back to back days days of pedicures (don't ask), but I'll try to call him and let him know that many of us are shocked and dismayed by his capricious and arbitrary decision.

like everyone else stated; just a flat out killer car, not one complaint about it.
the good thing for a buyer with that car too is that i dont doubt its in the EXACT shape now as it was when it was rolled out of autokraft;)

I saw this car in person in Long Island at captree in the fall. It really is impressive. Well built, beautiful car. Engine looked and sounded sinister. No doubt he has the asking price into that car. To me a non-69 camaro owner, it was the best 69 I have ever seen in person.

but will it really bring 164K?
that is a HUGE number...

Before I sold the car to Stuart I managed to track down the original owner of the car. He emailed me some pictures of him with it back in the day. Pretty cool to see him and the car in those pics. I'll see if I can find them.
I wish I would have kept it but business was slow and I decided to sell it. It has been a blast to be able to trace this car from new to the outstanding job Kurt did with it. If I remember right Scott was involved in the build also. It is for sure one of the most well planned 69s out there. (In my biased opinion :) )

Nice car, good luck with the sale. From what I remember, the owner owned an Exotic car dealership?
Maybe he just built it for fun. Whoever buys it will get a fantastic car.

Hopefully it will. Be good for all if it does. The one thing that will keep PT strong is resale. If great parts can be engineered and sold for a profit and the cars maintain value compared to the parts used, then all is good. If a car has 100 K in parts and it only brings 20 K, that's a death sentence for all.
Good luck with the sale, nice car. Great color!

Well said -- and I hope you're right. BUT everything is "weak" now.. and there's lots and lots of competition for sales... It's a great time to buy and a lousy time to sell. Seems only those that "have to" sell, are - and that brings out the weak hands... which 'causes the prices to fall.

Atleast beat on it a little before taking a bath. It won't go for that much on the open market. He'll have to roll the dice at Barrett Jackson.

I disagree with "lots of competition for sales."
I look everywhere, all the time, have for years, just to keep track of what these cars are bringing. Sure there are cars for sale, always are, but there aren't that many nice, true pro-touring cars on the market. Well built, popular model cars, what few there are on the market, still bring good money.

I think it's great that it's for sale.. my vibe was that the owner wasn't going to drive it.. more like just park it at his exotic car dealership.
Maybe it will go to someone who will drive it? Now that would be cool since it's a really nice ride.
Sorta looks like your car Doug.. can picture you cruising around in it!

I read the plan was to park it in the showroom of one of his exotic car dealerships.
$164K for a one of a kind, hand built supercar might seem to be a bargain for some of his customers.

Mmmm,,......yes and no. You need to find the "right" buyer. A lot of people aren't into these pro-touring cars and don't really know what goes into making them a pro-tour car in the first place. Such as the products, (DSE = VERY EXPENSIVE) and the labor, (VERY, VERY EXPENSIVE)!
I hope it all works out for Autokraft. It is a sweet looking car and the build sheet looks very stout!

I hope I don't get flamed too bad here. First let me say this car is awesome and I would LOVE to be able to say it was mine. BUT, for 164K I think i want more than a stock interior with seats and dash insert. While I think the look works, for that money I want a Recovery Room etc. custom interior. JMO. Ok, I have my nomex on, flame away! :_paranoid

I think we all see that and most would agree. Hopefully it goes to a good home and for a price the owner is happy with.

Steve, hard to believe that it didn't grab his interest enough to drive it once it was done---my first thought was that he may not have been happy with it--perhaps the setup or something--I need to find that issue (It was the "Black is back" I believe)---someone may have mentioned it, but wasn't he an exotic car dealer or something along those lines? Maybe he tears through cars quickly and they don't hold his interest. Hope it does go to someone who does enjoy it---I know I would--
