I know its late notice. Health allowing I'm going to be driving the camaro out to Big Willow on r888s and driving it home back to Los Angeles.
If anyone wants to come on out I'd love to meet some of you. I realize its the middle of the week so...

When the R1 Mini is done, the best part is, I can tow it with the Camaro, Race both cars all day, and tow the mini home.
This is the first track day I've done since doing adjustable upper control arms, TKO600, Rear Sway, Wilwood manual 6 pistons, new R888s, Lee Manufacturing power steering. Should be very interesting.

How are you hooking up the power with the R1 in the mini? Are you still running the chain drive?

Motor should be here tonight, ecu, and everything. The subframes been shipped as well. Hoping to have it done by the end of march. I sold my daily driver. So the mini is my daily once its done.
For now I'm driving around the continental in the rain.

Did you opt for a reverse on the mini? I like the idea of putting more power in my mini, but the motorcycle kits never struck me as being all that practical. Good luck with the build and post your impressions.

just so you are aware, your link says Buttonwillow and then in the thread is Big Willow - you may want to be clearer as to which one it is :) I am sure the link you gave is correct but it could mislead an interested party.
Also, given your intermittent health issues, it is good you found OTR and I used to run with them at WSIR. They are very open to late sign ups - you pay a bit more but they don't mind that you join day of event even. If you run with them then you may also be aware of ACRA - American Car Racing Association - which is "the other guy" - they both work together and alternate month to month who holds the event.
For everyone else reading this, this is a great group of folks to run with and they allow pretty much anything to run (ACRA isn't only American cars, I had my V8 Porsche and many 100% Porsche guys run with them). There are lots of Porsches actually at the events, some really good drivers in the top group that I loved running with when I lived out there a couple years ago, etc. Lots of track time with them as well. They used to have a catered lunch included, not sure if that is still the case, but hey, lunch included is lunch included!
