69 Camaro rear body seams filled

Does anyone have any pictures or thoughts on filling the seams on the rear body panel of a 69 Camaro??? I am thinking of welding up the seams on the lower part of the rear body panel and maybe the rear panel by the rear window and trunk lid. If someones got a picture of it painted that would be great. Not looking on how to do it, that I know just want to see it painted.

I used seam sealer and just applied an excess amount,let it harden up for a week and then trimmed it flat with a razor knife blade , then prime paint and not worry. It looks flat and smooth most all of the time in most all light and somethimes it just barely shows the seam. No cracks or dips.

Welding is not recommended but if you choose to you can.There is a lot of stress on a stock rear panel in hard cornering. If you go from leaf springs to a different rear it does change this problem.

you can find a pic of a convertible for the rear window area seam filled ..converts came that way from the factory..coupes had a seam..not sure why but both my converts were filled..and seen alot like that..i actually like the seam by the rear window..

Thanks for the picture. That is what I wanted to see. I think it looks cool. I'm still not shure if I want to go this way or not. I think in the end I will make it stock, but will see.

Thanks Jim, I have done a few qtr's on camaros and such, when I use seam sealer I 3m's flexible seam sealer that way when the seam expands and contracts it can. Also if I weld the seams I have a way that I do it and it will never crack or if it does you will never see it. :thumbsup:
