Here is another quick driver project.. I am installing a Nissan 240sx Sr20 det turbo/5-speed into a 1959 MGA Coupe that I purchased in Dallas a few weeks ago.. I had the car media blasted and started on some to the initial body work, but sadly after media blasting I found out the car isnt what it was suppose to be. I thought I had purchase a Factory Hardtop MGA, but found out it was a Roadster that someone welded the top on many many years ago.. It was crudely done (stick welded) and covered with about an inch thick of bondo that caused some basic rust issues.
The car would have been in great shape if it wasnt for the crudely installed top that caused the rust issues.. This car was not a rust bucket in any other area, every bolt in the body work spun out with no issue. I started working on the car this last friday and am hoping to have it ready for paint in about 2 weeks, then it is time for the Engine and trans retro-fit..
Still looking for a color if anyone has any suggestions... I refuse to paint it RED, it is so overdone on these cars.

My brother suggested the Infinity Peal White, it glows silver instead of that dingy brown color. Definitely keeping the steel wheels and white walls, but I would like to find a set of Nostalgia Racing Slicks for it. I want to take it to the local drag strip and see what it could do with about 300 horsepower instead of that 60 horsepower low revving tractor engine that was in it.
The wheels are 16x4 inches, and would like to find the nostalgia slicks that would fit them. I am still needing color suggestions, I would like a general consensus of colors because I have too many options with this one. Absolutely NO VARIATION OF RED on this one, it is too over-done.

This is where I am now.. Got a rusty fender back together and a door roughed in and installed. I dont think the doors were ever attached to this car, they didnt fit at all and they werent installed on the car when I bought it. I am doing individual panels at a time that way it isnt so overwhelming, but after the individual panels are roughed in, the fun really begins with fitment.
Someone had installed a fiberglass hood scoop many years ago.. It is securely attached and will take a bit to get it off, so I was thinking about possibly repairing it and keeping it on the car.. Let me know what you guys think..
Excuse the mess, I havent had time for clean up...ha ha
