Hey everyone! Im Chris, and a die-hard vette fan. I keep getting sent over here from various corvette forums and was really impressed with the amount of knowledge and info, so I thought I would sign up to become a part of this :thumbsup:

I bought my '69 vette when I was 16 and have been working on it ever since (19 now) Its nothing out of the ordinary (yet) - tubular control arms, adjustable monoleaf springs front and rear, a nice 350 with a 4 speed, and a manual quick ratio rack & pinion that I fabbed up myself. Ive been trying to make it as much of a road racer while still keeping it somewhat streetable. Ive got the weight down to 2960lbs, and still looking to go lighter. Future plans are to put in a 6 speed, custom big brake kit, and fine tune the suspension some more with a 6 link and some adjustable shocks. When I learn to drive this setup to its limit, Ill finally build the 427 small block that my username suggests. Im from Jersey, so if anyone goes down to NJMP for a track day Id love to tag along to move my status from "bench racer" to "road racer" :D
Enough talk, on to the pics...

================================
Chris:

Don't ever lose those sidepipes, they are absolutely killer. I had a pair on another build, and other than the calf burns, EVERYTHING about them rocked.

Nice Vette.

Thanks guys! I love the sidepipes too, but the girls on the otherhand... not so much. Lets just say there are a few girls walking around with a "vette tattoo" on their calfs :willy: I forgot to post some pictures of my fathers car. This was the car that got me started. Still a work in progress, so Ill be sure to post some updates on this one too :thumbsup:

Thanks! the steering wheel is an ebay wheel, nothing fancy, but I love the way it feels and looks. For $80, you cant beat it.
