ive used and abused mine wrecked it a few times, rally raced, and off roaded with it. 300K + miles still original clutch, timing belt. the only thing i do is change the oil and tires when they wear out. this lil car refuses to die.

This '64 Mercury has over 557K on the original motor. The 91+ yr old female owner took a 3200 mile trip in it 2 years ago. By herself.
Funny story how she always bought parts with lifetime guarantee knowing she was going to keep the car a long time. She has gotten a lot of replacement parts on those deals.

Volvo 240. Can't go wrong. Mileage in excess of 500k is commonplace. They will literally run forever.

Best cars: Every BMW I've ever owned since 1976.... and there's a long string of 'em.
WORST EVER -- a 1984 Volvo Turbo...
Second worse -- 3 Mercedes Benzs in a row... Electrical, electrical and more electrical...

They SWEAR they've changed for the better... LOL
But then.... I'd also bought another Volvo Turbo after the '84.... and they lied!
