I have come across a car wiring system that is leap and bonds ahead of the way we currently do it. I am currently in the process of building a custom car with a dodge viper twin turbo engine capable of producing 1000hp. The process can be found here: http://www.chevelles.com/forums/showthread.php?t=181312
I saw this system and now I need it! I got so excited that I contacted the president of the company and asked of he would be interested in providing a volume discount if enough people where interested. He agreed! Last year a volume discount was offered through http://www.pro-touring.com/forum/showthread.php?t=49119&highlight=isis it was almost 30% off. If your interested in this then shoot me a PM. More people that are interested, the steeper the discounts!
***Volume pricing is in. PM me for the Details***
The group pricing is only available until March 1st

Some questions and answers on Chevelle Tech for those interested.
http://www.chevelles.com/forums/showthread.php?t=308238
Sounds like most cars require the 2 Powercell and 1 Mastercell ($999) plus an additional Powercell ($349)
So right off the bat this base system is approximately $1350 which is 3x the cost of the competitors.
All the added bells and whistles are going to require additional ISIS control modules and parts you have to purchase it seems.
For the remote start and security system it's a $179 addition for the key fobs, which is close to what most alarm systems cost without install.
http://www.dealercostcaraudio.com/viper5901.aspx < 2 way Viper system you can get for $219
however the ISIS system remote has 16 possible functions, and can control just about ANYTHING it seems.

If you are looking to wire up a basic car then I agree this system isin't for you. However, if you like to be incontrol and have all your functions at your finger tips then this system has all the bells and whistles and with the group discount this offer cant be missed!
FYI: The group rate is only available untill March 1st. If you need details please PM me.

Yes, it will do away with the relays. Each output is capable of handling 20 amps. so you could run your high beams directly from the power cell. A cool feature is that you can pulse the outputs at a high speed which will dim your headlights. So you could run your headlights with full power at night and then run them at half power during the day as day time running lights! You could conect any light, like your interior lights, and control the intensity. As you leave your car the interior lights could stay on for 60 seconds and then slowly go dim. The possiblities are endless!
All your turn signal flashing can be programmed through the system too. Hi beams...Low beams... flash frequency...it does it all.

So what about electric fans that require more then 20amps on startup ??
Will this blow a circuit on the powercells ??
$5 relay VS $350 powercell.....hmmm....
I think I like the complete American Autowire options for $400 myself. :D

No problem - the ISIS programming lets you use a soft start for fans and headlights. Coupled with the ability to vary the output its a great feature that you can't get with an off the shelf system.
We're going to try to see if we can come up with a suitable program to control the wiper motor... multi-speed wipers without a multispeed box...

THAT is a nice feature..
i have a question, if th eengine has dual fan controll built in to the ecu... do i connect the fan enable (wich is pull to ground) to the ISIS and program 2 outputs, one for each of the fan motors?

That is the way that I wired mine. You don't neccessarily have too but the biggest benefit of running it through the ISIS MasterCell is that you can add additional triggers/controls for each fan. For instance, you can have each fan temperature controlled by the ECU, then you could have a second trigger for the second fan running from the AC and you could have a second trigger for the first fan as a manual switch in case you want to override the ECU or run the fan when the car is off. Likewise, you could add an override switch to shut the fan off regardless of what the ECU is telling you - for instance if you are racing the car (and don't want the draw) or if you want to control/override the fan based on speed or RPM.
The great flexibility that ISIS gives you is that you can have IF - THEN programming regardless of what the base system wants to do. For instance, most of the new OEM cars shut the electic fan off over 35 mph (or something) since the electric fan isn't doing anything useful at speed anyways. You can, with a little bit of thought, program your EFI engined swapped or even carbed setup to do the same.
This is the only way to go! Great system great support! Jay's a great guy to talk to...

So basically you don't need to get something like a SPAL PWM controller then.
Interesting.....does the standard 3 piece kit (1 Mastercell and 2 Powercells) for $999 handle this ??
Or is there something else you have to purchase in addition to get that functionality ??
The Wiper motor pulsing too ?? Now that's cool.

Standard 2 PowerCell kit does it no problem, assuming you have a trigger signal for the fan (thermostat or ECM). You can go one further with the idea as well - you can have a manual fan swtich that you could leave on all them time (if you wanted) and program the MasterCell to (a) allow the ECM to override the manual switch if the car is running (ie. engine running - fan is controlled by the ECM - off and on) and then (b) rely on the switch (off - on) if the engine is not running and (c) if it's on, keep the fan running for 5 minutes and 15 seconds (or whatever you want) after the engine is shut off. I'm not positive but I think that with the new systems, it might be possible to program in a safety shutoff if the voltage drops to a dangerously low level as well.
You can do something similar with the interior lights - (a) interior light switch overrides all other (ie doors) for off and on and (b) if door opens, interior lights come on gradually from off to full on in 2 seconds and (c) when door closes interior lights shut off in 15 seconds and in the last 2 seconds gradually go from full intensity to off unless (d) the engine is running in which case they fade off with no delay but (e) if one or both of the doors is open for more than 5 minutes the lights automatically shut off unless (f) the engine is running or (g) the switch is on.
All this is easily doable with the standard 2 PowerCell kit (which gives you 20 switchable outputs). I only have a 2 PowerCell kit in the '67 and still have 3 available outputs so anyone who thinks they need 3 PowerCells (30 switchable outputs total) is not doing anything even remotely close to a "basic" installation.

Do you have power windows? If so how did you wire them?

I do. I just used the Electric Life harness but will be converting to the InMotion cell once we are done with the One Lap event.
Cool thing though - if you incorporate some tech in the build of the car... IF you were to (a) use late model 'vette door handles or (b) were particulary confident in your door switches you could (probably) incorporate a "crack the glass" feature on the door glass when you opened and closed the doors. Not sure why you would want to with a non flush-mount glass application, but a neat example of how the ability to program the ISIS unit can give you some features that no other system can.

John,
Do folks know that sending an email to ISIS w/ the parts you're interested in doesn't obligate you to purchase if you don't like the final discount? It only gets you "in the queue" to receive the discount once it's set. So anyone on the fence waiting to see what happens, it'll be too late - send in your request, otherwise you won't qualify for the discount. They're strict about that too - I was a couple days late on the last one and was out of luck.

Good Call Dave!
This is true. The Deadline is tomorrow night. Send in your email to ISIS now to get in on the discounts. Dave is correct that even if you send in your email you are under no obligation to purchase if you don't like the discounts. So don't miss out.
To participate in this group buy you need to email
[email protected]. You should put Group Buy in the subject line, list what you want to order.
If you can do me a favor and blind copy me on your email to ISIS as well, I would appreciate it. This will allow me to keep track of who we have participating also. My email is
[email protected] . Thank you all very much for participating and making this happen. If you have any questions please let me know.
Don't let this one pass you buy!

I spoke with Jay from ISIS today. He is in Florida doing a shoot today for the Speed Channel about his product. He has moved the Deadline from midnight tonight to Monday March 1st at midnight. That’s gives you guys on the fence another 24 hours to think it over!
If your wiring your project now or wiring is yet to come, then this deal can’t be passed up! This system gives you full control over anything you wire to it. There isn’t anything on the market that even comes close to the options that this controller can provide. More exciting options are yet to come for this product!!!
