1969 Dodge Dart Custom with fresh, mild build 1970 440, 727 w/ reverse valve body, 8-3/4 rear with 2.73 gears, Powertrax Locker, Strange axles and all new rear drum brakes. New Wilwood front disk brakes, new front suspension, new interior. Fresh blasted and painted steel 15x7 wheels front and rear with new BFGoodrich tires. Life long California car, rust free body, very straight and clean. Suspension, drive components, rear end, motor, transmission and brakes have all been meticulously rebuilt by the owner who is certified mechanic. All parts were blasted, sanded, prepped and painted before reassembly. Interior was disassembled, prepped, painted and reassembled with new parts where ever possible. New headliner, seat covers, door panels and carpet. Dash was is in great shape so it was die sprayed black to match the rest of the interior and it looks great. All weatherstrip has been replaced with new. All bright work and glass is in great shape. Minimum bodywork was required to bring this car to very nice, driver quality paint. This is not show quality paint nor is it rotisserie restoration. It is on the other hand very nice, quality build that anyone will be proud to own, drive, show or race. Needs nothing. Fast and dependable. Just drive and enjoy. Must sacrifice. $16k obo. [email protected] or 952.432.2419.
The motor is a .030 over 440 block with six pack replacement pistons, 915 heads, 292 Mopar cam, Mopar M1 single plane intake, Total Seal gapless rings and roller rockers. I had this motor in my challenger and it ran 12:30s consistantly. The Dart is about 500 pounds lighter so it should be quicker (never ran the car on the track). The motor has about 5000 miles on it. It runs very strong and starts and idles like a fuel injected car (except for the very lopey idle). The headers are Schumacher chrome plated. It has a new 750 Holley on it. The drivetrain consists of a 727 auto trans with a TCI reverse manual valve body, 3500 GER converter and B&M Pro Stick. 8-3/4 rear with 2.73 gears, Yukon axles and Powertrax posi (I had 3.91s but I like to highway cruise). The car has 2.5" exhaust with Flowmasters. I have the stainless exhaust tips but have not put them on yet. They go with the car.
