Matt asked for some pictures of the Anvil wheel houses,so here they are... I ordered them in matte finish, and love the look!! I think the matte is definitly the way to go.. I just have to figure out how I'm going to finish the underside.

Thanks Mario! Those look killer. I probably would have gone all satin finish if the guys at Best of Show would have let me, but they hate the thought of having to respray and entire part if something gets scratched.
Just remember, if you're running an RS front, cut the holes out before you put them on the car. We were sitting around at 11 or so the night before sema and wondering why nothing fit :_paranoid Of course you probably won't have that problem unless you haven't really slept for a week.
Oh and Steve, if or when Anvil comes out with the ones for the 67/68s you better get the BoS guys carne asada for a couple months if they have to take out the ones they're currently cutting up. :unibrow:

parts suppliers like Year One have a template that you can get. If you cannot find anyone, I have an RS fenderwell in my basement. I will make you a template, just PM me.
I would also spray bedliner on the inside of that wheel well. Thin coat to keep rocks from cracking or chipping it up.

Those look awsome Mario, but not sure of the underside. looks like alot of work to finish off the underside. Maybe it's just the pictures. Love the matt finish.

Hey, sorry I didn't see your above post until now. I think I've got templates on my laptop, which isn't with me, so I'll look for them tomorrow. I'll also be at Best of Show tomorrow, so I'll take some pictures ;)
Matt
Oh, and when you assemble everything and put the hood hinges on, and I'm guessing you've got some trick black anodized billet ones... you might want to cut a little foam pad, and put it on the lowest part of the hinge (like the stuff that Anvil provides for their spoilers so there isn't any rubbing) so that it won't scratch the wheel houses, which it might, depends on each car. I'll get a picture of that too.

Thanx Payton.. I'm going to use the bedliner

A little rough Rick ..I'm going to use the bedliner to smooth them out.

Mario, I found the templates for you. Chris at Best of Show said that they're only decent at best, and weren't all that helpful. In the the end he said he ended up having to eyeball the area for the cuts.

Also, here is a picture of where the hood hinges may or may not scratch the CF inner fenders:

BOS installed a set of these on Matt Alcala's car right before SEMA.. fitment was pretty good.
Where those hinges his is the same a stock wheelhouse.. would be nice if a small divit was put there to accomodate the hinge. I would be that 99% of the people running these inner fender wells will be running billet hinges.

I told Tyler about that issue when I ran into him at sema, and he figured it would be far too expensive to add in a little divit on each side because it would entail making new molds, which if I remember correctly, is the most expensive part of the process.
Maybe you 67/68 guys will get lucky from our learned experience :unibrow:
