Ring Bros cars at Barrett Jackson

Charley just sent this pic from Barrett Jackson. Apparently Reactor and Afterburner (Ring Bros. cars) are there going on the block.

Wow, didn't they just finish this thing? Maybe it wasn't a customer car to begin with.

I love the build process as much as the next guy but I have to think a car like this Fairlane would be great to get some use out of.

Personally -- I think it's "smart" to sell while these cars are "fresh" and haven't been seen by everybody. These kinds of builds take a huge "effort" in time and money - and many times the guys building them - have started a new project before the last one is even finished. They like the process more than the end result. I have a buddy that is like that - he's just into the whole process... but not into the actual "birth". Weird - but to each his own.

I have another buddy that is a boat dealer - very high end - at dinner the other night I finally had the guts to ask him how things were going... "I haven't sold a high end (million plus) boat in TWO YEARS"....

Many business owners are in this predicament - and while they may have chosen to finish out the project (the smart way) they may also want to recoup some of the expense while they still can.

Everybody is different - different circumstances... Some of these builds are 3 years plus - maybe the owner gets a bad illness during that time... who knows.

I had the chance to see Reactor this past summer at our small town's car show. It's an amazing car it looked pretty fresh yet. The owner drove it to the show from about 15 miles away.

AMAZING car! Saw it in person. Love the carbon fiber, custom tail lights and lower rear bumper! Very drool worthy! The owner's kids are a couple years older/younger than me, but went to my high school. His wife also has a pretty sweet '62 Impala. Also quite impressive.

The Fairlane is not on the list to go across the block. Didn't find it on BJ's site. More than likely it's there for display. Reactor lot #1287
