I am looking to install a bunch of Anvil carbon parts on my 69 Camaro and like the look of the Satin finish vs the gloss finish but am a little unsure. I want to install the front spoiler, header panel, hood, cowl panel, rear trunk and rear spoiler. The car had incorrect Z/28 stripes applied several years ago and I want to go back in the direction of the SS hockey sticks but a full paint job is a few years away. What do you guys think?

My carbon fiber hood and chin spoiler were both gloss at first, but are now flat (PPG Flex n Flat) and I think it's WAY better.

I probably have some before and after pics of each that I could post...

Satin for sure.

Nice car BTW. It will look better with the hockey stripes IMO, especially with the SS hood.

That would be great! I really like the raw industrial look of the satin carbon. The gloss just seems to be a little too "plastic" looking for me.

As Scott above, I had gloss cf and then sprayed flat clear over the parts............ way cooler looking, I would never go back to gloss.

With the carbon hood I would have to switch to the Cowl style. :( The SS hood would disappear since they don't make that style in carbon.

I personally like the satin even though I'm not a huge carbon fiber fan.

Is that the Anvil hood? Full carbon or glass/carbon?

I also have to integrate with the semi-gloss black tail panel that came on the 396 cars.

My wheel houses just came in from Anvil. I have the matte finish and they look great. I would say matte all the way!!

I love the look of hi gloss CF, BUT...
the surface quality us usually less than perfect on many parts so satin is usually safer for looking good.

I think the satin looks great on underhood and interior parts, but now after seeing Scotts pictures I have to agree on the satin for the exterior parts too.

I think the tail panel will integrate just fine as is.

I have been meanong to ask you for a long time, what's up with the grass driveway? No complaints, just never seen that before.

It's a product called GrassPave. It's a plastic mesh that goes down over a hard packed gravel base. Sand goes over the plastic mesh structure and then you sod over that. The grass grows through the mesh. It works great and doesn't deflect when you drive on it.
