where by the hour it gets worse.
Typically Im not one to bring up down fall here but It's been a rough week and probably the first time in a long time my mind and gut are spinning.
Jan 3- Grandma collapses in nursing home and break her hip. Goes into
surgery and the outcome looks bad.
Jan 5- Uncle Jon collapses shoveling snow, rush to emergency room and
under goes a quad bypass, Jan 13 still in ICU
Jan 7- My mother taken to hospital after realizing she's having a heart
attack, post recovery at home Jan 12
Jan 13- Grandma passes away this morning
Jan 13- my dad looked like he just aged 10yrs from all the stress when
I visited him today
Jan 13- come home at 3:30 to find out my wife is at the vet because a deer
bit our dog Niko, yes a deer. 1hr later daughter thinks shes got my
truck pulled in far enough closes the garage and gouges the whole
back half, (eye sensors frozen)

Just a bit!! of a week. Lurked through some of the joking threads going on here for some mind settling and hopefully getting back to normal.

Well dang Dave...

That is a horrible week by anyones account. So sorry for your loss.

I lost both of my parents in the last couple of years... and even when you're "ready" for it - it's just not good.

Actually I had that day yesterday. Got a phone call that a vehicle we just finished was damaged in transit by a well known carrier. Later that day another phone call that a family friend of 50 years had past away that morning. It did not get any better the rest of the day either.

I feel for you man.
First and foremost, sorry for your loss.
My father passed in a car accident on his way to my house.
I was working on my car when I got the call. It took about 2 years till I wanted to touch the car again... Following year my grandfather who raised me died choking in a nursing home while having his christmas dinner. My wife lost her grandfather the next year. Again, a day after Christmas 2008 one day before my birthday I found out my grandmother had a severe case of cancer. She hung in there for 6 months.
Thank god for my wife and kids keeping me together.
My only advice is keep your head up, break down when you need to and appreciate the days when the phone doesn't ring.

Dave,

My condolences to you and your family.

I also force myself to look at comedy when things go bad.

3x what?
I hear ya, Puts a whole different perspective on life itself. And you never know what tomorrow brings. My grandma we were kind of prepared for, but my mom and uncle just freaked me out.
Been pretty low key lately and needed some venting.

On a good note as they say, when one goes, another comes. It was cool to see Pete posting he's a Grandfather right around the start of my post.

I only meant you had far more than three bad things happen. You have never heard that old saying? Once the three are done no more bad things for a very long tme.

Thanks, least of my worries, thats what insurance is for. Basically the paint is scuffed top to bumper, couple of plastic goodies and the rear wiper tore off.
She's learning! she's 16 and crap happens. If you or Telly were closer I'd have the insurance work done by you guys. Thanks.

In lighter text....
My wife who is 34... backed our truck out of the garage straight into the house cleaners brand new Jeep. We have back up sensors that are fully operational!!
She has also backed out of a parking spot with a city cop sitting next to her in his squad car... she cut the wheels to soon and our grill guard nearly ripped the bumper off the cop car.
But yeah.... thats what insurance is for.
