Is there anyone that uses Grundy Insurance on there collector car. I'm ready for some insurance and Hagerty gave me a ridiculous quote and have been looking at Grundy.

I too am in the market for insurance. Any input about Grundy would be great!

I've heard friends getting qoutes from Haggerty that were double to triple what Grundy charges, with all kinds of crazy restrictions.

I've had Grundy for 3 years now and I couldn't be happier with my rates, or the lack of major driving restrictions. They do require that the car is garaged though. I never had to submit a claim though, so I can't give any input on that.

I've had Grundy on a '73 mercedes for the last 8 years - haven't had a problem. My rates are extremely low, I don't think they've gone up in 8 years either.

Try Heacock Classic.. Its what I have.

Their prices were great and they had far less "hangups" than Grundy or Haggarty.

After all, it's free to get a quote :)

Grunday here....great to work with. I had a claim in early 2009 and they were great to work with....basically they looked at the car and told me to let them know the cost and they would send a check.....had to add some stuff once one thing was fixed and another became evident...."no problem"...sent another check. Totally hassle free....

I have Grundy on all 3 of my collector cars, they've been great. Have had one claim on my street rod due to a storm damaging the garage it was stored in, the adjuster was prompt, thorough, and super to deal with.

One thing they do that they'll tell you is for your benefit is to raise the value of your car every year; of course since their premiums are based on the value of your car...;)

I have had Grundy on my Camaro for the last 9 years. No claims so I can't comment on that. Make sure you provide them with any change of address info to avoid any missed-mailings at yearly renewal time (ask me how I know).

Grundy here too. My rates are about half of what I've been paying. No claims yet.

I have Grundy as well as many others here. No claims either, but rates are great and great customer service too. I have $50k policy on my Chevelle for $329 a year. It would be cheaper but had a highly modified engine at that time. I called Hagerty first and got quickly turned off by their rates.
