View Full Version : Rear wheel/tire combo on 67 camaro
The car has DSE tubs in it and the leaf springs are moved in.
I want to run a 18" wheel, prefer a 18x12...will they fit? if so what size tire is the max? the rearend will be built around the wheels so that's not a problem.
all help is appreciated.

I've got a 67 with the same set up and 18x11s. At the end of the day there is not too much difference between 11s and 12s especially when you are looking at the car on the street. With a 315 it fits but its tight, but mine is dropped real low. I suppose you could really stretch the tubs and work around the rear but to me it was not worth the pain. My rear is cut to about 53 3/4" flange to flange with disc brakes, 5" bs. I'm sure it could be done but the cost (pain) was not worth it to me. The difference between the 9"s and the 11"s was so drastic I was satisfied. Its tough with leafs. Good Luck!

When I ran springs. I had plenty of room. I ran DSE mini tubs with there springs and spring relocators.
I'm pretty sure lots of people are doing this. I believe it may even be stated on there site.

We just talked, no 335s on this one. 315s will be a nice fit. We are helping dial in hs measurments.
FYI, if we know before the tubs go in and if are using a 4 link, we can do 335s on 67 / 68. See MotiV8r.
