Sorry to hear this--have been looking forward to watching yours come together--it has a great list of parts and I really liked your wheel choice. Hope things work for you to somehow keep it. If you part out, I think you will be able to move most of these parts fairly quick. Blessings to your family--

This whole ad is very confusing -- because you show the car as a roller with motor etc --- and then in the same FOR SALE section you have the motor and trans for sale... SO WHICH IS IT??

Greg, it's like that on here and P-T.com, maybe someone will buy it whole or maybe Steve will make more parting it,
Personally, I think it a kick ass ride and he should finish it!!

I would give it some time before I started to part it out! What if you end up keeping it...would be nice to have the little things like the Ring hinges.
I know you wanted to build the car yourself, but since you have a friend that can help you may go that route. That way you at least get your dream car in the end.
I set out to build my car entirely on my own other than paint.....things change and that's ok.
Just my thoughts..................

As long as you get the money wired into your account before your car leaves your sight for the boat, then you're all good.
I sold my Chevelle to a guy in the Netherlands a couple years ago. Our damn weak dollar!

If you are considering a wire transfer -- make sure the bank knows it is for funds to be RECEIVED only!
Remember -- you have to give the buyer all your info in order for them to make a transfer into your account... that's "dangerous" in this day and age. So put the responsibility on your bank by letting them know - via letter or email - not voice - what you're doing.

Thats what Im worried about. I have two buyer on the line right now. But Im worried about the wire transfer. There has to be a easier way! Thanks guys for the info.

I have received wire transfers from the Netherlands and from other states without any problems. Transactions were easy and clean. I would not hesitate to do it again.

Wire transfers work GREAT - you just have to make sure your bank is on the same page you are.
Once the wire is "done" - it's in your account.
You could also set up an account just to receive the wire - then when all is good - close it.
The BUYER can be protected - if they want to be - by ensuring that you must release title to receive funds. That way the BANK is the go between ensuring that the buyer has title.
Just talk to your bank - they will help you.

This is why I always always ask more than what I am willin to take. You will always have people offerring something less whether is 10k less or 100 less. It makes them think they are getting a better deal. It's all in the psychology. :)
Good luck. Will you take 3 easy payments of $19.95? Kidding!

HAHAHA Did you get yours sold? Man I thought about buying it if mine sold because it was done.
Yeah I should have inflated the price but I hate to play the games. Thats why I posted the prices of the parts so people could see the savings. I can tell you guys Ive had a bunch of PMs for parts. I stand to make more cash selling it parted out. But part of me wants to see the car finished and the other part is I dont want to take the car a part.

I bet he will, as long as you don't mind the 40k in shipping and handling charges......:D

Yup sold it in less than a week. Guess I priced it too well.
I hear ya, haggling is no fun, but it is reality. Your collection of parts is a steal. I am bummed not seeing you finish your car. I really liked the way it was looking so far.

It still sit in the garage. we got a little "carried on" buying parts, so steve is doing his best to get it all to fit in the car before shipping  . We are still waiting for some marquis parts, and that should be it.

Also make sure to sit on the money for at least a week before shipping. I had a guy wire me some "FAKE" funds.. 5 days later they were removed from my account and my account was placed on hold because of the illegal transaction.

I did spend 4000 usd and travelled 13000 miles to see the car. i also wired the money before i left home. i stayed 5 dayes in the us to make sure that steve had the money, the car is still in his garage and he has the titel, so i guess he will be fine. but thanks for your concern.

 I TOTALY understand. I had to ship an '03 Cobra to Sweden about 3 years ago and it was PACKED with extra parts for two other projects within the same family (my wifes cousins, total gear heads).
I look forward to watching this car get finished. Steve had done one hell of a job making a very cool ride and I am glad it will be finished and not parted out.
