For those who thought it was a bad choice? I turned out exactly how I wanted it to look. Nostalgic look with a modern twist. I love it!

Those look perfect.....I don't think anybody doubted your choice of wheel, it was your choice of wheel manufacturers.

I'll get some better pics if it stops raining for a minute.
The wheels are 20x9.5, changed BS from 4.5 to 5.25 to fit. Tires are 255/35/20
Fronts are 18x8.5 with a 5" BS, if I remember correctly. Tires 235/40/18.
And yes, it's bagged.
I just wanted the look for this year. Sometime in the future I'll do it right.
Custom suspension, 4wdb, 383 stroker, trans, ford 9", ect, ect, ect, ect....

Have you thought about doing a title search through Oregon DMV on your car? My dad bought a brand new one of these in 62... (we lived in Portland, I was born and raised there)... Same color - SS - Wouldn't it be funny if this was the same car all these years later? I think he bought his at Lyman Slack Chevrolet that used to be down on Sandy Blvd...
Car Looks fabulous!

This was bought at Grant Chevrolet in Portland. And it's not an SS.
You nailed the wheels & more importanly the off sets! .....
I still see alot of custom wheels where it looks like the wheels need to be tucked in another inch or so,nice job  looks bitchin.

So do your wheels have that huge "Centerline" on the spoke like this?

With all the headaches you encountered, I'm glad you stuck with it. Those wheels fit the look of your car perfectly.

Underneath is stock and ugly, and trunk just looks like a stock trunk. The air tank is on the passenger side tucked up next to the quarter panel in the trunk.

That does kinda suck. Centerline found away to mess up their only good wheel design. :(
Like it being on the center cap wasn't enough.

It looks like a protour car, but handles and drives like a boat. Someday I want to do a 383, nice trans, 9", disk on all four, ect, ect, ect. But that's wayyyyy down the road.

It looks like the wheels were worth the wait! The car looks awesome! I'm wondering about your opinion on the finish quality of the wheels? As I've stated before, some of the CL wheels I've seen in the local store had a lousy finish. But if they continued to produce the bad quality they would have been out of business by now, right?
Larry
The car looks just killer! It looks like the hassel and waiting was worth it. Really nice look you have going there.
You mentioned the future upgrades for the drivetrain, suspension and brakes...any idea what you will do first? And what kind of time line until you get going on that stuff?
I ask so I can keep track of it and watch the build. I really like that car!

Nice man, REAL nice. What are the wheel/tire specs? Happy for you that they finally arrived. Centerline has a couple nice wheels, it's just too bad that they have issues.

20x9.5 with a 5.25 BS in the rear.
18x8.5 with a ?? forgot the BS in the front. But if somebody really wants to know for their own car I will find out. I would have done a little more positive offset in the front but, live and learn. Bonus is that I can drive it on the ground and turn the wheel lock to lock with NO rubbing!

Bad A bro---it's great to see something different like yours---I like the color combo between paint and the wheels---stance is right on the money---a great package overall---way to go!
The other stuff you can do a piece at a time ---just pace yourself--it's actually a great way to build one of these cars.

Yeah, I'll be doing the Wednesday night PIR thing often I think. Get that camaro out there! My buddy has that silver 67 camaro, 22's and 20's bagged, crazy motor, red leather int. That's what I went in most the time last summer.
