Hello,
Been a member for a short while, and feel it is time to post some pictures and specs on my build, Build has slowed down do to funds!
This is my first complete build!
I am another Canadian from Toronto area, my car started off as a super solid texas car.

Specs
- LS2 with T56 6 speed - (already Have)
- 18" 3 piece Sevas sr5 - (already have)
- Michelin Pilot Sports PS2 265 35 18 Front 315 30 18 Rear - (already Have)
- C6 z06 Brakes
- Very rare Recaro interior ( 1 of 2000 made) - (already Have)
- 12 bolt - (already Have) with 390 gear
- Chris alliston G-bar
- Qa1 front coil overs - (already Have)
- Griffin Aluminum rad - (already Have)
- Custom Billet Products - Own a CNC machine shop

I am stuck on what color to paint the car, I really like the Porsche Artic Silver
with carbon fiber rally stripes followed by a red pin stripe.

Would love to get a rendering done, but cannot afford it right now!
Look forward to any help, comments and feedback.

I have a very nice 1981 Camaro Z28 For sale to fund this project.

Thanks

Hi Speed !

Nice going !

On choice of color, this area is rather personal. But would you consider my current preference , BLACK !

Cheers,

GM.

ps. I envy you....your own CNC shop ! Fantastic !

Great project. Silver with CF stripes would be great, especially with those wheels.

What did you use to paint the undercarriage with? nicest looking black undercarriage I have seen.

Hello,

The under carriage was blasted then put in epoxy primer, and then I bought some spray bomb's from a Friend who is in the alternator, starter business.
I will put specs off cans today or tomorrow.
I can get cases of 12 tall cans for about 90 bucks.
The end result looks like a semi gloss powder coating.

Thanks
again

My last 5 cars have been black 3 Grand Nationals, 1997 SVT Mustang, and 1970 Camaro RS.
Love the color but too much work to keep them clean. Thats why I am looking at different options. And I have limited my choices because of the interior color I have.

Thanks

my '70 nova is going to be cyber grey metallic (i think that's the correct name), it's off 09 corvettes and some 10 camaros. I am doing 2 carbon fiber rally stripes on th efender, similar to the grand sports. Nissan also makes a good looking grey on there 350z's

Tony, you should paint the car in the official Portugal colours. Maybe with a genuine trout-skin roof, to replace the vinyl!

Great to have another second gen camaro around! Yours is looking really good. Mines a 72 and its around the same step you are. I havent really decided on what wheels im going to go with. Im almost done painting it myself. Im going with hugger orange. My last car was black also and i also agree it was a pain to keep clean. You can check out my photo bucket for pictures....

I'd give you some funds --- if you'd promise to come to Seattle to show me how to run an electric drill....

Man what I wouldn't give to have my own machine shop... I'm so jealous!

Funds will come - business is GOING TO (because I say it has to) get better!

If the drill has a cycle start button you got a deal!
*Note electric drills are Collectors item cordless is in

I agree this manufacturing economy has to get better in north America, if not we will all have bigger problems.

Finishing project PROSTORAGE wont be one of them

Great job car looks killer! what is the game plan for powertrain?

Thats a good question:faint: I have no idea yet. I want to get the painting out of the way. An Ls1 and Ls6 are expensive and a little out of my budget but i would not mind one of those. All i know is that i need to make up my mind before buying a fuel tank.

I pretty sure 4th gen f cars are almost a bolt in for sec gen Fcars.I have an LS6/T56 combo and I'll either use a 4th gen tank or a fuel cell and inline pump with voltage controller and some creative wiring and a little luck.It will probably the 4th gen option as the C4 corvette rear suspension will allow me to run the exhaust in a manner similar to the C5 corvette(with two outlets in the center with some body mods that resemble the C5 rear fascia).I intend to upgrade the appearance to a slightly more modern look in some areas. There is a 71 pontiac firebird with all 4th gen rear suspension and driveline including the tank that was posting on pro-touring .com and you should be able to find it at www.extremefirebird.com/Home.html

Wrong site.I'm very about that, but i am now looking through my history and archives to find out where I read about someone using a 4th gen tank in a second gen. body.I thought it was that one but I've done so much research on all my alternatives and possibilities that I lost track.Like I said ,sorry but as soon as I find the link I'll post it.

I have been waiting for this time to come in my build, paint is done and stripes should be on by the week end.

This has been a 4 year build and to see it all start to come together really make you feel a sense of accomplishment.

Would really love it if I made monthly feature or Camaro Performers but that is not for me to decide I Love the car no matter what.

Thanks
