Goodguys website will have all that info. Also search hotels around the address of the fairgrounds. Me and my son flew in and took a cab one year, wasn't bad. Huge amount of cars.

PM Fluid Power (Darren). He lives in Columbus and may be able to point you in the right direction.

As of yesterday when acquiring, 2 other hotels are pretty much down to nothing as far as rooms go. And of course the host hotel was booked full in the first week of last year.

Yeah it is busy.
There is still room at the Candlewood Suites off the Polaris Parkway as well as the Hilton across the street.
Candlewood Suites - 1-614-436-6600
Room with 2 full beds should be 119.99. That is where we are staying. Has a Hooters next door, A Texas Roadhouse and Go-Kart track you can walk to.
Good Luck

Columbus is huge. There are tons of rooms.

Columbus is a convention center town - so there are a ton-o-rooms there. I live in Indy a few hours down the highway, so I always drive over. I normally book my room a couple weeks before the show and have never had a problem with availability. It does get 20 or 30 dollars more per night by waiting like that, but I have always been able to get a room at the hotel I wanted to stay at (except the host hotel - and those should be gone by now...). It's a cool 'little' town with restaurants and bars all over the place. Anywhere you stay is accessible to everything in about 20 minutes by car. Most everyone gathers at the host hotel awning for beers and conversation after dark each night. IMO it's the best car guy gathering in the midwest all year - even though it's damn hot that time of year....

Garage dog is right,
after hours it is like a huge cruise night, people and cool cars are every where..some rides you didnt se at the show. Plenty of good times to be had at night. Id try for something around the host hotel because its hard to get a good parking spot at night. I live 70 miles from columbus and I drive up and stay all 3 days every year. Its a really good time!

I booked my rooms in April last year and still found something the 3rd place I tried. My wife and I have our next critter due that week so I can't make it this year. By far the best show I have even been to.
