I just watched the replay of JP's II Much on Speed, wow what a car! Does anyone know the current status of it or if it has been run at all since the sale? That car deserves to be on the road and not locked away somewhere.

I can't remember where John said it went, but the interesting part about the sale is that John said the guy who bought didn't know about the car beforehand. I had just assumed that the guy who won the auction was a fan of the car and of John's work and had followed the whole build/project.

You assume wrong, LOL! Actually the guy that bought had only seen it from afar. One of his guys told him he looked it over and it was cool so the guy bought it. In fact I was with the car the next day when the guy and his friend showed up to see the car, and the guy that bought said, Is this it! We showed him around the d=car, he asked a few auestions and was in a hurry to get somewhere else. ast we ever heard from him.

It went to Texas. John went above and boyond the call of dutyafter the fact and wrote the guy a complete operators manual for the car. The guy has both our cell numbers, never heard anything!

Sounds like it will be sitting from that description. Too bad.

I know if I bought it, at first I would be driving it everywhere, and asking a thousand questions.

Some guys are only looking for trophies. Nothing wrong with that, from a business perspective.

While it's a shame, I'm sure John isn't losing any sleep at night. :D

Thanks Frank. Too bad the guy was not more active or public with it. Nice ride to say the least!

I could be wrong, but I thought I remembered John saying the guy called him asking how to start the car or something? I'm probably just talking out my ass...

This is why I didn't like going to Barrett Jackson -- it was FULL of non car bozos that were wannabes.... Seriously! It made me so angry I left after one day and flew home. Of course - I happened to be sitting next to that complete ahola Alan Lewenthal (the buyer for the Gateway museum)... and that guy was such a moron he ruined my trip in one day. Between that guy - and the chain wearing hawaiian shirt bozos... and they'd stand there looking at a '69 Camaro and call it a '67... and the other guy would say - "yeah, I had a Mustang like that in high school"..... All the time I'm thinking -- HEY BUDDY -- KEEP TALKING WHILE I RELOAD....
