Hello Everyone,
My name is Tony. I been browsing this website for a few weeks. I've learned a lot and hope to learn even more. I really love the pro touring Camaros. So a couple years ago, I bought a 68 Camaro and I restored the car pretty much to original but the rims. Then I went to a couple of shows and realized, I really wanted a 69 Camaro mini tub. A couple of months ago, I bought one.
As you will see in the pictures. It's exciting to buy a new car and pushing it up the driveway into the garage. I am able to do all the work, thanks to this site and all the great people that post how-to.
69 Camaro

- Full trunk
- New 2 1/2" mini tub wheel houses
- Frame rails

Welcome aboard! I remember dragging my 70 home on a trailer and pushing it in the garage not so long ago. Good times! Can you post some more shots of the 68? I'd like to see it too. Looks like you are off to a good start with the 69, and nice build plan too.

Wow....lot's of work. You have your original, do this one Exactly how you want it. Original won't mean a thing on this car. You have a good game plan. Those guys up at Speedtech are alright. ;)

These pics are all up to date, now I'm undecided if I should go drive by wire throttle or cable throttle? Also can't decide rack and pinion steering or a fast ratio steering box?:willy: Any feedback is appreciated.

Tony --
I just did a LS3 DBW in a 55 post car... with an Art Morrison chassis etc -- and being able to just plug that throttle in was pretty cool - not to mention easy.. just had to build a mount on the floor for the throttle is all...
NICE WORK on your Camaros BTW!!
Nice work Tony! Thanks for posting.

Thanks for your reply but I have a 97 LS1 and I've been trying to get a harness but they don't recommend DBW on the 97 LS1. I believe your LS3 is 58x and my 97 LS1 is 24x and they say it gets too expensive and might not work properly. They recommend cable.
I'm sure your 55 post car looks really good with the LS3
