I was supposed to help a friend of mine pick up a 66 Hardtop this weekend. He's been waiting for 20 years to buy one (life kept getting in the way, sound familiar?) The car got sold out from underneath him.
Looking for something under $9k that is a driver- let me know- thanks- Chris

That is a post. There is a huge difference in price from a post and a 2dr hardtop.
I'd like to say I'd try to find you one for your price range, but if I do I'll probably buy it. I've been looking for one too!

Man, prices for certain cars have sure gone out of sight. In high school I bought a really nice '66 Nova HT driver for $900! 283 and "PowerSlide" (great for "neutral drops"). I found a wrecked SS in the local wrecking yard and bought the buckets, console, shifter, emblems (all to make a clone) for $50!!!!! Sold the car (as a clone) a few years later for $1,400!!!
Once bought a '68 Mustang fastback for $400. Found a rough '65 Mustang fastback for $400 with a bunch of spare parts. Almost bought a '68 Camaro 350/4speed for $850, but at 16 did not have that kind of money (when that was a couple months of pay). Ah, the good old days... When the biggest tire you could buy was "N50-15"...
Good luck on your hunt. There are still a few good deals out there.

I know of a 66 Nova hardtop in California that is a builder. It was sitting next to the 73 camaro I bought. The guy wants $6500 for it. Pretty much the entire surface of the car has a light coat of rust. I didn't look too hard at the car but it might be what you are looking for. PM me and i will forward the list of cars the guy had to you.

It's funny, I've called few people about ads that don't say whether it's a hardtop car and they don't know. They'll say, yes it has a "hard top". I finally have to get to the point of saying, when you open the door, is there a frame around where the window rolls up - - -- - - - -
