Review of the 2010 Camaro in the Netherlands.

To All:

Was searching YOUTUBE, and came across this.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sdF_Ey2eTiY&feature=related

It is sub-titled at the bottom. Evidently, they also have a passion for the sound of a V8.

I did learn something new, According to him the Camaro V8 is HUGE!

Check out how much it cost there to have one with the import taxes they charge. $23,000 of our Dollars = $15,000 of theirs, and to buy one their is $72,000 of theirs. OMG!!

It would be a blast to have a Power Tour through Europe. Yes, it would be pricy because of Fuels, but I bet they would draw a hell draw a crowd. For the single among us, I bet there are some Hot European Babes that would love to exchange, "Rides", with some of us. :unibrow:

Have fun,

Ty

same thing here in denmark... a 20.000 USD car is imported to denmark and you pay shipping.. 18% customs fee.. 25% sales tax. and 180% registration tax... so even with the tax rebate from the US for exporting it... it still costs close to 90.000 USD...

the dutch price of 72000 is in euros! thats 96.000 USD for a V6 camaro!

That's correct. There's a black RS/SS 2010 Camaro just 5 miles from where I'm working right now. Price is close to US $ 150.000,-

OMG! Don't you feel like your getting screwed with all that extra Sh*t tacked onto the price?

I would be REALLY depressed if I knew the Government was stealing that much of my Money.

Maybe it's a European thing?

How do you feel about this statements?

i totally agree... that the extra 180% registration tax.. that was introduced in the late 40 ies to prevent forgin currency leaving the country, as denmark does not produce cars.. is outrageous!

and we do spend alot of money on stuff i dont see why the gov should get involved in...

but we do get free healthcare.. including heart transplants and hipreplacements, nursinghomes, university (im a doctor from a top 100 university world wide, AND a mechanical engineer.. what would that cost in the states?) ,also free dentist for underaged etc.. , and so on for the money the goverment takes..... but 18% custops, 25% sales tax and some set registration fee sounds more sensible to me.... (the 180% is robbery IMHO)

So you pay most of your income in taxes and fees and you think your healthcare is "free" ?!?!? No thanks....

That V6 sounds good. I think they nailed it with that engine. before the V6 models were simply crap. Now it's actually a good substitute for those that can afford the V8 for whatever reason. Good job on that one GM. BTW, the CTS has the same V6 and hauls ass also :)

Goes to show you - there is NO FREE LUNCH....

Just wait until the USA puts in the Obamacare plan.... I voted for him (I just couldn't vote for McCain, post Palin) - but this healthcare plan wasn't part of the equation! Show me ONE THING the Gov't does better, or cheaper.

this is way off topic.. but to answer your post.. the healthcaresystem here in denmark is way cheaper to run than the one in the states... (there was just a big OECD report on it) and the danish system, especially the primary sector deliveres the same service to everyone.. at a fraction of the cost of yours...

BUT, given the chance id move stateside in a heartbeat....

now if just some of you needed to hire a doctor with an engineering degree and medical sales experience, id be on the plane with a greencard :-)

=======================

Maybe someday the people will put in some politicians that can remove those terrible taxes. (I bet the Politicians get to drive the nice cars cheap)

I'm sorry just wanting a fun car to drive is so damn expensive.

Take care,
