Can anyone direct me to a pre fab 4 point roll bar? I would also like one with a harness bar. This is for a early second gen camaro.(1970).

Thanks for any leads.:cheers:DSE has a nice one that comes with floor mounts and all pre notched pipes and a removeable harness bar(still put th kids in the back, well as long as thier in car seats)
its a little higher priced then others on the market but but its seem to fit much better(tighter) that other pre-fabed kits on the market. to see pics of it installed look in the project section on thier site kyles test car and dale e's both have it.

Thanks AJ. I didn't realize they had one. The price is not too bad for how complete it is and the amount of work into it before it leaves the shop. That one fits just like I want too, through the rear shelf and tight to the headliner.

I got mine from AME, I"m sure they would have one for a 70...and the shipping wouldn't kill ya!

I also added the swing out kit for the harness bar, got it from Chris Alston. However many situations requires the harness bar to be welded...but mines a street car.......mostly! :_paranoid

Mine will also be mostly street driven. But the bar is nice to have and it will need to come out once in a while.

If AME has one I can just pick it up, NO shipping. Bonus!!:cheers:

The DSE unit fits like a glove. I'm using it in my '72 and have it installed already. They sell only the 4 point unit, I had to go to a local chassis shop to get the front halo and down bars fabbed. Good materials along with excellent instructions and fit. The crossbar is long so that you can do it the way you want, it will have to be cut and possibly bent depending on your installation preference.

Thanks for the input Tommy. The DSE unit looks great in all of the pictures I have seen. But it's always better to get first hand reports.

Check into Art Morrison. They have cages and are affordable.....

S and W is the least expensive, upgrade to the pro-street rear bars if you want to retain the rear seat. You will have to fit and weld but most require that.

Thank you for the links. I think I am going to go with AM, they are close (I can go pick it up)and with the few mods I want to do it is the best bet at this point. I can have them add a couple of rear bars exactly where I want after I get a few things in the car sorted out. It will be easy since I can make the trip right to them.
