Well it looks like the Black 69 I just picked up is sold. So I'm in the market to build something else. And these kit supercars are looking really interesting. I'm sitting on a fresh 750 HP 427 LS7 motor from a C6 road race car. So I got the motor. Just trying to figure out if theres any resale value in these things. Looks like just to get the car rolling is a $40,00 investment plus engine. Little scary when you don't see these things for sale that often

I would say that you could sell the 33 down the road much easier then the others but I like the GTM

I'm kicking ideas around right now!! I really want to build one of these and have fun this summer with it. The flagship car for SEMA and my shop will be the rebirth of my 70 challenger thats been on the back burner for 2 years

you could give a whole new meaning to "427 Cobra" if you put an LS7 in a FF cobra kit...
I do like the GTM though.

FWIW, the GTM I saw in person really looked like a kit car. I don't know if it was assembly related or what.

I must have hit the FF5 SEMA both about 9-10 times to check out that satin black 33.

Here are a few that we built at the shop for a customer. We just ordered the 3rd one today for him. Any Questions let us know. We'll tell you the good & bad.
The flat black one has a killer 427 and did 600 at the tire at 2300lbs FUN at any speed. The blue one is a LS2 and is perfect all around fun to drive car. Fit and finish, it all up to you to get it where you want it. Out of the box they need some work.

I would vote for the GTM, the 33 and then the GTR in that order. Reasons being, I like the GTM and the above posts by RPM are really the first ones that I have seen where they took it to the next level. It would be nice to follow a build of one of those and see somebody else's take on a GTM. The 33 is just out and out cool and if you do that, the full fender look would be cool since you don't see that as much. The GTR is cool, but it has been done before and it isn't the most aesthetically pleasing of the three(but then again, I don't dig McLaren's and a lot of people really like them).

The GTM done right looks killer! Also a fan of the '33....but I think I would do a GTM. Don't know about re-sale on any of these 'kit' cars...might be something to look into. Actually, I'm not sure I would build one just to sell. For a client sure...but just to build and list it? Might be a bad decision.
So Chad, you think you can finish Ty's car, build one of these, and finish your '70 in less than a year? You still have the day job, right? That's a lot of man hours in the shop! :willy: Best of luck and we'll see ya in Vegas!

Ty's car has about 20 hours and it going home!!! I'm tired of looking at it, :willy: . The Challenger is being cleaned off as we speak, to start the chassis fab. I'm not sure I'm doing a kit car or not just something I'm dreaming of right now. The SLC superlite is the one I would do, if things allowed. But right now who knows
if you build the 33 make sure to becarefull if you attempt to take on a road course!
No doubt. After seeing the damage and the wall thickness on the UCA tubing, I'm not impressed.
