Hey all,

I got a trick, expensive and nearly brand new rim/tire setup for sale. They all have less than 2,000 miles on them and are near perfect.

The rims are all HRE 847R three piece with a polished lip, a satin/brushed finish on the center and a clear coat over the entire rim. The tires are all Michelin Pilot Sports PS2. In some pictures I am showing SIX wheel/tires, but you can buy just four or all six. The reason I have an extra set is that I originally went with 20 inch rims all around, but had some fitment issues with the fronts and decided I wanted a smaller rim, so I stepped down to 19 inch rims. The rears are 20x12 and the fronts are 19x9.5. The extra fronts are 20x9.

Here are the specs:
All rims are 5x4.5 in. (114.3 mm) Bolt Circle which fit Fords, Mopars and who knows what else.
Rears are 20x12 with 6.25 in. back spacing and P335 30 ZR 20 Pilot Sports
Fronts are 19x9.5 with 5.25 in. back spacing and P265 30 ZR 19 Pilot Sports
Extra Fronts are 20x9 with 4.75 in. back spacing and P255 35 ZR 20 Pilot Sports

I had this setup on my Mustang for a few years and they have less than 2,000 miles on them. I blew the engine in the car and was also experiencing some unibody stress crack fatigue, so I have decided to switch to a full frame and more advanced suspension. This has also changed my wheel/tire fitment, so I need to let these go as it will probably be a few years before I finish the car again and I can’t see use for them on any other projects I have. As you can see by the pictures, they are in great condition with little or no wear. There are no real scratches or dings on the rims and no real wear or defects on the tires.

I’m one of those knuckleheads who spend more time fixing and upgrading their cars than actually driving them, so that’s why the condition is so good. I put a lot of time, money, and care into my vehicles and try to keep everything top notch. Which means I don’t drive them nearly as much as I should.

Retail Value:
If you have to ask, then you probably can’t afford it. I know I shouldn’t have. There aren’t many idiots like me running around that spend this kind of money on rolling stock! HRE wheels are custom built and priced to order.

Here are some retail prices for the 4 rim/tire package.
HRE 20x12 = $2,529 each
Michelin P33530ZR20 = $488 each
HRE 19x9.5 = $1,991 each
Michelin P26530ZR19 = $376 each

Add it all up and you get to a $10,768 retail value, which doesn’t include mounting and balancing.

If you wanted the extra 20 in fronts, the costs would be:
HRE 20x9 = $1,946 each
Michelin P25535ZR20 = $384 each

Add it all up and you get to a $4,660 retail value for the extra setup, which doesn’t include mounting and balancing.

Total value of all six rims/tires would then be $15,428 retail which is a hefty retail price. To be honest, I don't know what to ask for this setup, but I'd like to get $5,000 for four or $6,000 for all six. I know this sounds like a lot, but the retail replacement value is over twice that. I'll listen to a decent offer for all of them. Either way, you can get a very trick, nearly new rim/tire setup with a few rims to spare or a good, cheap start on another set. If I'm going to get spanked, at least they will go to someone who appreciates this type of setup.

As far as shipping:
I will put heavy-duty cardboard over the front and back of each wheel and tape it thoroughly. This way UPS can deliver them without scratching. I’ve done this before with success.
One 20x12 combo weighs about 66 lbs but I would round up to 70 lbs to be safe and allow for packing, etc.
One 19x9.5 combo weighs about 51 lbs but I would round up to 55 lbs to be safe and allow for packing, etc.
One 20x9 combo weighs about 54 lbs but I would round up to 60 lbs to be safe and allow for packing, etc.

Would these fit on a 70 challenger?

Yes they should since Mopars had the same 5x4.5 bolt circle back in those years. But you should double check anyway. Also make sure you have enough room for the backspacing I specified. Thanks, Mike

Well, you should be able to do it yourself or with help from a buddy. Its really just measuring to see how big a wheel/tire will fit under the car and if the offset on the rim will keep it tucked under the wheel opening without hitting anything. These are big rear rims at 12 inches wide, so unless you have (or plan to) modified the rear suspension, then they might be too wide for a stock suspension.

With the rear rims having 6.25" of backspacing, this means that there is 6.25 inches from where the rim mounting surface (on the brakes rotor/drum) to the inside lip (facing suspension) of the rim. This also mean there is 5.75" (12 - 6.25 = 5.75) from the rim mounting surface to the outside lip (facing fender). You also have to factor in the height of the tire (28 inches) and about another .25 inches for tire bulge on each side to make sure you've got clearance all around.

That's all an over-easy explanation, so I'd suggest doing a Google search for "Measuring Backspacing" and you'll find a lot of links on the topic. If you're really interested in purchasing this setup, then I can walk you through things in more detail but I would need to understand more about the car and the suspension.
