Hmmmm.......That's a good looking TA, but your price is remarkably interesting. $175,000.00? Seriously? I'm in the market for a non-original '70-'73 TA and have been bidding on and recording sales of these cars for the past year or so on Ebay and Craigslist. All I can say is.....I wish you good luck!

Nice car, but 175 000.00 seems rather lofty. Hard to say from three liitle pics but I think the first draw back would be the interior, the blue vinyl might be period correct and all but I think on a 175 000 custom build it's a bit dated.
Good luck with the sale. Lets see some pics.

I know with the economy the price is high but to be honest I really dont want to sell it.I have had it "stock" since 1989 when I spent $50,000 to restore the first time. The only mods being a shift kit a RA IV cam, electronic ignition and a 3:90 gear.So when I decided I wanted more power.I had a 455 stroker made and had the car built around the engine( I wanted to have my Bird to be able to run 10's and still drive it on the street). This was done in 06 before the pro touring craze hit.I just wanted my car to look close to stock from a distance. But upgrade everything drivetrain, suspension ect.I had it build using the best parts availble with attention to detail.I feel I did what I set out to do.Its faster handles better and is a blast to drive.

Thanks for the input guys:)

Lets try and keep the posts directed at the task at hand. If not interested in the product for purchase, then keep the fingers in the pockets and off the keyboard. Encouraging comments etc. are always ok or constructive criticism, but bashing prices are definately not cool. No one is in the doghouse, just keep it clean and respectfull. Thanks.

At the risk of sounding like a prick, I don't agree with deleting all the negative posts. As far as I've seen, this car has been posted on other forums with the same results. So obviously there is an issue that should be discussed openly. This forum is a private board, right? People need to abide by the rules right? It's not craigslist. Someone strolls in off the street and asks a seemingly ludicrous price for an average car...why is questioning that an issue, especially among established members? A bunch of guys that want to seriously know, what is the deal here? I don't think that is completely irrelevant in this circle of individuals. No matter what the situation, if someone comes in with a pie in the sky deal, people deserve to know the credentials of the car and the seller. So lets see hear it from the man selling it with 7 posts to his credit. Why is this car worth six figures? What does it have that makes it worth 5 times that of an equivalent car? You have 90 pictures, I'd suggest you become 'PC' un-challenged and people may not jump to conclusions so quickly.

With full disclosure, I also am selling a car, but not in this apparent category so this doesn't in any way reflect on how I feel about this car. But I've seen this same situation unfold on other forums and I think it's time we got to the bottom of it. There is a time and a place for reasonable expectations from the membership, as well as new posters trying to sell things.

you do understand that the members themselves edited their own posts, they were not done by the mods on this site.

Kinda goes by the old saying "if you don't have anything nice to say...................." We don't allow member bashing, so it's a fine line regarding peoples comments sometimes. We just reminded everyone of that, discussion is fine, bashing is not.

Jody is absolutely correct - I edited my own posts. The Mod (Stuart) was right in pointing out that we were bordering on inappropriateness. I agreed with him. In fact... I have many posts on this board - and this is the first time that I actually posted an "opinion" that was less than favorable to the original poster. I agree with Jody - that if you don't have anything nice to say - why bother...

This time I stepped on my own decorum and posted what I thought - when frankly - since I'm not interested in buying the car - who cares what I think.

Now I think we've hijacked this guys thread already - and all of the posts should be deleted. Let him (the original poster) have a clean thread.

:lateral:  :woot:

Oh, my fingers slipped out of my pockets. LOL At least the thread is getting the car exposure. I had a car similar to this and you will have to find " THE " right buyer. Good luck with the sale and nice looking car.

I was not aware that they edited the posts themselves. My apologies for assuming that was not that case and that this thread has been hijacked. I'm a Pontiac enthusiast, and I know a few guys with six figure Pontiacs and I'd certainly like to see a few more out there! A fully restored, PHS documented, numbers matching 455 SD would have a tough time fetching this kind of money and that is what piqued my interest. I'd love to be proven wrong, since I'm into Pontiacs and hope they continue to rise in value!

I think this is a fine looking Trans Am. It's certainly got a heckuva motor in it. I wish the seller the best of luck selling it. I have nothing negative to say about the car or the seller, I've neither seen the car nor met the owner. My only concern, that which I think anyone reading this ad shares with me, is what justifies this price. If he can answer that, I'm sure it'll help find a qualified buyer as well.

I have stated that I have almost 90 pictures on a CD for serious replies which I would ship.I agree with not having enough info about the car when I posted this.I have also said the with the economy the way it is I might not get that and agree. But when I have spent alot of time and $ getting her finished you really can't say what its worth.Unless you have the info needed so I have made a WeBShots just for this car.But I must apolgize the pictures all dont have info on them and arnt perfect or in correct order.

For the record my Bird was asked to be in the GMs Eyes Of Design in 07.When I say asked you cant get in to this show without a inventation. Those of you who live in the Detroit area might know or heard of it.
The person(s) who did everything but the build up of the 455 also have done alot of Trans Ams and some GTOs.One Firebird was owned by Jim Mattison(the father of Pontiac Historical Society ) a 67 Firebird .Anybody that has a Pontiac knows this person. His Firebird earned first place a few years ago at the Trans Am Nationals.

Here is my WebShots link....http://community.webshots.com/user/thunderchicken45

This picture I found on this websites main page under events. It was taken at the GMs Eyes on Design in 07.Its 4th from the bottom in the middle.A picture of my 455 is there too. ..http://thumb9.webshots.net/t/75/175/7/54/76/2308754760105869469SyYgVa_th.jpg (http://rides.webshots.com/photo/2308754760105869469SyYgVa)
