Whew, what a weekend. Want to first say thanks to all the gang (Jason, Sean, Mert, Jonny, Mike, and Logan) from Gearhead Garage who got my car done in time to take to the show in Pleasanton this weekend. We had a great indoor spot on the end near their display booth in the Young California building. Since it was kinda chilly this weekend and rained Friday night/Sat morning, that worked out really well.

The 200 mile round trip drive from Sac to Pleasanton and back went very well with only a couple small minor things to address later, but nothing to hinder the drive and fun. The car still needs to be dyno tuned, probably later this week, and a few other little tweaks, but it was responsive and loud and a blast to cruise down the road. It should only get better. Thought I would share some pics from the weekend...

Oh and much to my surprise, I actually won an award. The "Cool Camaro" award, which is pretty neat since there are a ton of Camaros at each show.

I would like thanks them too, not only were they working on Dave's car, but I brought mine in after replacing my heads. I wanted to make sure I put everything together right, which I had a "extra" vacuum hoes, and it needed a little TLC to get running right. Well they did that and I was able to pick it up Thursday night, so I could enjoy the show with my father. Great group of guys to work with, and help out.

Nice group of cars....

LOVE the plate on the Chevelle!

SEE! Told you why quit coming down this time of year.... I have my own rain to deal with right here. :willy:

Glad you had a good time - nice award - and you're right. To be singled out in a sea of Camaros is a good pick.

I was already *hitfaced by the time I got to your place. Think I only had 1 brew. Those Gearhead guys can pound em. :D

Hey, don't be bitter just cuz I called Jody to buy that motor before you did ;)

Bummer dude. The weather was really nice most of the weekend. 60s and sunny. Beats that 95 degree baking heat in the summer there! :)

Thanks for the good word guys! It's always fun DRIVING to these shows. I don't know how I ended up being the poor shmuck that had to tow the "million dollar" Camaro down there. Must confess, it was a little hard watching you guys smash around- especially with Shawn cruising my 'Vert! Crap, I think I was driving faster with the rig than he was- poor girl doesn't like rollin' under 100mph!!

We couldn't do it without you guys. We're lucky to be in the business we're in- market is still hot, customers are generally cool as hell, and building/driving these cars makes all the hard work worth it!!

Who's in for the next show??

Yeah J, bummer you couldn't drive your OWN car at least some of the trip.

I am in - what is the next show?

Thanks,I would NEVER have guessed unless someone told me...don't mean to sound rude but that was a waste of money spent on a personalized plate.

So if you say you don't mean to sound rude but then are blatantly rude, it is acceptable? Nice...

Hey, I guess his plate just wasn't meant for some people i.e. those who can't figure it out.

Take it for what it's worth...if you can't figure it out immediately,it's a waste of money in my book.

If you re-read my comments,I don't see where I'm blatantly rude as you say, just stating things as I see them.If your buddy is happy with it and doesn't mind explaining it to whoever asks, that's his business.

Guess all the good ones were taken huh...or he couldn't come up with anything better?:_paranoid

I guess if we wanna waste our own money on gas it's our own perrogative!

I woldn't feel to bad, it's not the best executed personal plate. I will say it's alot better than some I see around here. For instance:

absolutely, and now that I know what it means it makes sense. I went on the DMV website, and all the ones that would be easier to decipher were gone, so it appears he has the best combo available. I like it.

Mike and Dave, it was very nice meeting you guys at the Good guys show in Pleasanton. Both of your cars are killer rides!!!
hope to finish mine with the same quality as yours.

I am back in the Netherlands. Wish I was living in the states. Quality of the cars in the USA is sooooo much higher than in Europe.

well, talk to you later guys.
