Hi. The car is a SS 350 4 speed car. I bought the car when i was 20 years old for $8800.00 and drove it for a couple summers then parked it beacuse the tranny shifter linkage was shot. That was 21 years ago. Its been in the shop ever since. I pulled it apart about 3years ago and cut the rust out of it. Full rear quarters the floor. Got paint on it last sping. Real happy with the paint and fit of the pannels.
I did DSE and Speedtech front coil over with upper and lower a-arms, Unisteer rack on there. Just ran an American auto wire update kit in her. I got a 496ci aluminum head roller stroker at the engine shop its ready this saturday. The t56 magnum with all the best goodies were shipped this week should see that soon. The BMR torque link rear suspension is at the local powder coater being done in hugger orange. The Vintage air front runner system is here and ready to go. I'm real stoked to get her back on the road running better than ever. Ive taken hollidays this the winter to get her running by spring. It's been twenty years in the works.
Lets see. Convertible. Big block(stroker no less), BMR, DSE, Speedtech, T56 Magnum, I see the Baer brakes in there up front I think too.
Killer car!! Please be sure and post a bunch of pictures of it going together.
Congrats on getting it all going again after it being down so long. That is great!!

Thanks guys. I will take lots of pic's of it going together and post them. I still have a few things to figure out with the interior so this site is doing a good job of informing me of what products are available out there. I'm up in Calgary A.B. Canada, nothing to do up here in the winter but work in the shop. lol

With the weather you are about to get (or may have now?) you should have A LOT of good time in the garage!
What are your initial thoughts for the interior? Stock look, full custom?
I like the stock "look" but with some modern touches like the gauges, shifter seats and maybe a few other small items thrown in. Just my .02.:D

I like the interior on this Fesler built car. The Recaro seats in the back look nice as well as the door panels. Think I will give Fesler a call and see if this stuff can be puchased. I just orderd a Covan Thunder Road dash in black so thats a start on the interior I guess.

Ya the savings account is taking a big hit for sure!! I'm in Calgary Alberta Canada. The exchange rate is good right now so I'm not complaining too much. I should be putting the rear suspension, engine and trans in soon. I will post pic's and let you know how it goes.

I finally got some pictures up for you guys. This car has been a real lesson in patience. You know.....two septs forward and one step back. lol
Its finally getting close to running condition, I just got all the electrical stuff sorted out.
Power windows, power locks with keyless entry, Remote battery dissconect with a Viper alarm. New guages and A/C all working. The L.E.D lights are super cool looking.
I will keep adding to the photos as I have an aluminum 540 ci BBC going in this week.

Thanks
I had an initial misalignment of 0.12" and used a set of 0.014" correction pins to get the bell to 0.02".
That was on my 496 BBC, that motor went back to the engine shop with a bad cam. Ive got a aluminum 540ci to replace that engine. Its going in this week.
The engine shop felt real bad for my hassel as did the cam company so they totaly hooked me up with a way better motor for a real good deal.
I will be doing the alignment on the bell and new aluminum Dart block this week.
Not a big deal I like working on this car but like I said, two steps forward and one step back. Lol

Seeing the hockey stick stripes is really inspiring to see. You have quite an awesome looking car. The overall package is really looking good. I am leaning towards the same hood hinges with the 2011 corvette velocity yellow with black stripes on my 69 SS. :hail: Dennis

Great looking car, and great pics.
I see there is an Angry Bird (looks like one, anyway?) on the loose in your garage

Oh yes the bird and my two year old son were helping me out that day in the shop. Good hands to have around. lol :)

I do have a few pictures of the dash finished up and I also took a few of the car on the ground. I think I will end up lowering it a little bit more for the final set up. Now on to the center console and door panels.

Looks great. Are you going to paint the grille (the surround section which is normally painted body color) or leave it all black? (I vote for painting it)!
dubbleu

Thanks for your input and pointing that out. I will have to look at some pictures of grills and check them out with paint. I may end up painting it. The old grill was black so i did this one the same. I put my Spector air intake on with a DSE close out panel today.

Beautiful car!
Couple of questions - what upper radiator hose coupler are you using? I also have the Be Cool rad and am looking for something clean that works with the squished restricted outlet.
Also, what master cylinder is that?
Cheers

Very clean convertible!

The upper rad hose ends are Speed by Spector with a regular rubber hose. The master cylinder is out of a 1998 Firebird. I had to make minor modifications to the firewall bracket and the brake pedal rod to make it work. It was not hard to do at all. The feel of the pedal is awesome.

Super clean build!
What are the details of your exhaust system?
Cheers
dubbleu

The exhaust is by Stainless Works from the headers on back. 3 inch tube. Sounds very nice in my opinion. Not too loud.
