Hey guys can you point me to the thread or would someone know what
size wheel and tires will fit the 69 camaro with a 2" drop and C5 13" brake setup?
I would like to stay with 17" but would look at 18" if need be.

I'm sorry, I know this must be covered before.
John

I'm about to pull the trigger on the brack upgrade.

2" drop spindles? Do some searching and you will find you are likely headed for trouble.

Here is a start:

17" wheels will clear a C5 vette spindle, but the wheels are gooing to have to have a flat profile like Fikse of other 3 piece style wheels with a flat hoop.

Rodger thanks but I'm not using a corvette spindle, I just want to make sure we are talking about the same thing this is the factory spindle.

I understand not all 17" will fit, correct?

I have the C5-based Baer GT setup and they are very tight with my cheap-o 18" coys. I had to use a flush valve stem to clear the caliper. You may find a 17" wheel with a front facing valve stem that will work, but you will have investigate it with templates from the wheel company or the experience of someone who has done it, cause it's gonna be tight.

You can also print the brake templates off of www.kore3.com and use them to check various wheels for clearance.

Thank You do you know the back spacing and/ or off set you used?

I believe they're 18x8. You wouldn't necessarily want to take my backspace measurements as my car does not have factory front sheet metal so your car might not like what mine does. I believe mine are 4" backspace though.

OK thanks John

So far what I think will fit is

18x8 4.5 backspace
18X10 5.5 backspace

If anyone know for sure this would be great thanks,
John

I would talk to the guys at Driverz Inc, Prodigy, or any of the other site sponsors. They can get you good prices and even better fitment knowledge.

I think you are going to need a 6" backspace with a 10 inch wheel and it is going to be a tight fit.
