Yep, I used Arizen also. In all honesty their seats are 'average racing seats' in terms of quality of leather and structure however their pricing is quite good and I'm find them very comfortable. Arizen can also get you some rear leather seat covers to match the pattern of the front seats you order and the pricing on those rears are pretty good also. Of course, I purchased mine 2 years ago so I don't how much their prices have changed since then. You can see what I paid for mine, the rear seat covers, etc, on my website.

I used the Summit style simulated leather- they aren't recaros but very comfortable and only cost $139 each

I like these but there a little pricey, http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=250296471733&viewitem=&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWAX%3AIT
any dealers out there? Ive bought the couple hundred dollar one's and I'm not impressed, I would rather spend more and get something thats safe.

Any other 'big guys' out there? I'm 6'2" & 240lbs, big shoulders... I had Sparco torino 2s before, but never got to spend lots of time in them. I know some guys have said that the Recaro Speeds are good for those of us not in the Schumacher-size category.

Thoughts?

I had Recaro Speeds in a 4th gen Camaro and I was too big for them. I am 6'3" and about 230. I probably weighed less back then.

I have Recaro Pole Position 1 piece seats in my 67 and it is a tight fit.

The seats out of the newer 2004+ GTO's are really nice. Audi A4/S4 seats are pretty killer as well. I also like the seats in the new Jaguar XF! You can find these seats at like "Cleveland Pick a Part", those guys are awesome to deal with!

Check Corbeau seats. They offer alot of their models in W I D E sizes. Don't ask why I know that! :_paranoid

Agreed, I really like the recaros that are used in everything from the Audi s4 to the Aston Martin Vanquish. When it came to getting seats I sat in a bunch of cars and eventually ordered the recaro "Style" seat which is their non OE offering of the aforementioned A4/S4, etc. that can be ordered from a recaro dealer. The seats have adjustable lumbar support and side bolsters. However, they don't have harness holes for 4/5 points though, so you need to run them through the headrests, which I don't think is a big deal.

Mistubishi EVOs, maybe Xs, also come with really comfortable but still sporty seats, I think they are Recaro Sports which several lat-g members are using. I don't think they are nearly as tight as the speeds.
