Hey guy's,
I recently purchased an LS7 short block from a member on here, (bowtieguy) great guy to deal with. Anyway, I am trying to decide on an intake for it, whether I go carbureted or Injection? I just thought I would get some insight on both options so I can decide for myself.

well before I say thats not what I am after, what would the advantage of a sheetmetal intake be beside the fact they are expensive?

Other than looks and bragging rights, if you're just going to have a street car.....none at all. Just my opinion! Although that is a great price compared to a new one at $3k and above, I don't think it is worth it at all. Neither do alot of others. That's why you don't see many of them on street cars. I'd rather see have a F.A.S.T. 102 mm LSX which costs hell of alot less.

good points, but at $1900. it's only a little more than the FAST and the new fuel rails that are required (but not part of the $900+ pricetag of the FAST intake alone).

Good point as well. That's exactly why I said it was a great price compared to a new one. Besides, I love you engine.

thanks. You're right, the FAST is a great way to go, but that PMC is real tempting at that price.

How does the PMC compare to the stock ls7 manifold as far as power pick up? Does it fit the stock throttle body? And does it fit under a stock camaro cowl hood? sure is a nice looking piece!
My opinion, go injection you cant beat it for reliability, efficient cruise drivability, cold start, throttle response. The stock ls7 intake is no slouch it flows pretty well.
