I am thinking of taking this Demon off of my ZZ4 (sick of fouling plugs) and put a fuel injection system on my 67 camaro. Has anyone put an injection system on a ZZ4? I was looking at Jegs and they have a Holly and Edelbrock but wondered if the compression is too high?

What's the power difference, and would it be better then a demom carb on a ZZ430?

Probably not a whole lot of difference in power, but cold starts, overall drivability, and maintenance (or lack thereof) would be greatly welcomed.

Jeremy, compression won't be a factor in choosing a FI system.

i dont have any comparison for power by the ass-o-meter, the engine came off the pallet and on went the injection. a true bolt on system, edelbrock supplied the chip for the zz4 cam, and the hand held programer lets you fine tune everything.

obviously spending the money on a fully mapable system will net you more power, but that requires some dyno time, and somebody who can tune the program..... i think overall ease of install and operation make the pro-flo set up great...especially for the price.

That's pretty cool, gives me some ideas. I wish I knew the HP difference or MPG difference. Thanks for the photo.

as i recall...edelbrock claimed a 20ish hp increase over a carb zz4, as for mileage...i couldnt tell ya, this customer ran outa money, so the car left before it was completely finished...and as far as i know its still sitting as a lot driver.... behind the local caddy dealership where the guy works
