I was taking screen shots here and there as I went along on this project. Thought I'd share em.

Nice work. All done by freehand? I see you're using Photoshop.
Good job.

Thanks guys. The rendering is almost completely done in Adobe Illustrator (emblems for the stock version were done in Ps .... ok except the SS, it is a Ps Ai combo.). In some of the screen shots you can see both my monitors. The monitor on the left has a couple pencil scribbles open in Photoshop just to flip them and do a little brightness contrast. Sometimes I will put the sketch directly into Illustrator and that is what you see in the first few screen shots, and on the right monitor. But for the custom bumper I just "freehand" in Ai and then compare it to the sketch on the other screen as I go along. The perspective in the sketchs is wrong and I work with shapes much better than I work with lines, so I didn't need the sketches in Ai, just near by for me to look at. I use a digital camera to capture my pencils and dump them in my computer. It's all done with the pen tool and filled with standard gradients. I also keep all sorts of ref material open .... pictures of the new Camaro, a Cadillac CTS-V, a Chevelle, etc to get ideas.

Sorry I haven't checked in for awhile guys. No excuses. Z, if someone wants to build it, just give me a buzz. :) How come I haven't seen any new stuff outta you man???? The drawing was done for a guy who won a "drawing" from me at a local car show and the modified version was for giggles. I promise I'll get some new stuff posted ASAP!

That's a fact. I'd have to build a building just to keep them in and work on. It's good to take a break though .... you might have even come back more inspired than before. I'll be lookin forward to new stuff!
