Is it just me or do some of those Camaros look a little "ricey"? With those body kits, I'm surprised I didn't see a big honking wing on the back of some of those.:P

Some very nice cars there. I am particulalry interested in the ones that look like future GM options. I see a very bright future for the camaro.

Ugh. I guess my Dad was right when he said nobody has ever gone broke underestimating people's poor taste.

The Green one is supposedly the new Green GM will offer after the hideous Aqua Blue Metallic is gone. I don't care for it so much with all the black accents, but am curious to see it in person someday. The Silver one is Jay Leno's car...many think it's the new Z/28, but it's not...probably because it's the only one that looks well thought out.

I thought that car would grow on me by now but its just not doing for me. Several of those examples didn't help either:thmbsdwn:

Pretty amazing how much has already been done to this car. I think the '69-style RS taillights on the caramel-colored wide body and the grill on the white one are really sharp and tastefully done. I hope GM encorporates ideas like these into the future models. I love the side profile of this car when it's lowered, I just think they could improve the front end and the taillights which it looks like some people are already doing.

like this? http://autotraderca.files.wordpress.com/2009/03/plymouth_road_runner_superbird.jpg

It's amazing the terms thrown around for something you may not like. Heck I don'y like em all either, but the term "rice" is ignorant.

I don't think he means to offend anyone when he says 'ricey'. There are defintely some modern modifications(carbon fiber, multi-colored interiors, JDM seats, etc) that have their origins in Japan and sometimes they look a little unusual on American muscle cars. Usually these modification serve no purpose other than appearance and individuality. There is no doubt that the spoiler on the back of Superbird was rediculous looking, but I believe it served a true purpose and helped the car do quite well in NASCAR.

Sniper, you miss my point. Usually domestic muscle ground effects are a lot less "flattering" than the typical ricer you see on the street driving Hondas, Toyos, etc. The new Camaro looks great without the bodykits. Sometimes these kids down here get a little too crazy with the domestic kits that the cars do look ricey.
As for the Superbird, that was a 200 mph car which needed the wing to compensate for the downforce from the bulletnose. Of course you're one of us old guys, you know that. No offense bro.:D
