Mike and Bruce are stuck with the trailer. Snowed in with all roads leading in or out of North Platte NE. Mike on his way to sunny Las Vegas is in flip flops and pink panites is soaking his frozen feet in the tub.
They are down to their last twinkie...
Any one with a shovel please help.......

I also got stuck in NE when I moved to OR.
They shut down a stretch of hi-way and weren't allowed back on till the morning. Thank God they did that cause once we got back on the road there were cars and big rigs flipped over and in the ditches.

NASTY!

Okay - last time it snowed here - I was downtown with my big azz dually 4 X 4 - got stuck in a parking lot and had to be chained up to a Toyota pick up to get going again. The Toyota driver and I had a good laugh about him pulling out this truck that was twice his size... and I agreed.

So as I'm turning back out onto the street - I realized that I had flipped out of 4 wheel mode when I was on the relatively dry freeway... and didn't flip back as I got off and into the muck... So I deserved to get stuck!

DRAGGING a trailer in the snow?? No thank you very much!

I'm headed south in the AM -- straight down I-5 via LA and hook left...

Hope the boys get plowed out not plowed...

You should turn left in Bakersfield and save about 2 hours.

Wave as you go by, I leave tommorrow morning for a week

Right Roger - that IS where I'll hook left -- but for someone "up here" (Pacific NorthWET) Bakersfield is a suburb of LA....

Let me simplify, drive south for a long time, turn left at Ironworks, go about 4.5 hours and look for the bright lights, you can't miss it.

Down and around was everyone's recommendation - hmmmm not the sharpest pencils in the box. I just talked to Mike and he said if someone (that would be me) gave a correct weather forecast they wouldn't be in trouble.
So on top of everything else I do I'm supposed to be a weather forecaster? - can't be too hard - forecasters are only right half the time right? No offense to anyone that is a forecaster!

They blew a turbo tube and had to limp along for 40 miles at 30 mph - it just keeps getting funnier. At least they are safe!

They keep my laughing anyway.
Hope everyone has a safe trip and doesn't have the problems my guys have experienced.

GO DOWN AND AROUND!!!

Well after my trip to Columbus this summer in my Ford F450. I carry 10 gallons of water, 4 bottle of stop leak, just incase. That stuff works ask me how I know.

This place is everywhere. And nowhere. Spend some time northeast of Chelan county in Wa. You can actually see BFE from there.

Although I have never been to this particular nowhere.:D

I've blown the "turbo tube" on my Ford - dragging the trailer -- going up hill - making max boost.... all of a sudden you get this "phoooooauuuuuuffffff" - and a giant lack of power. Limp to the side - figure out I've blown the connector hose - EASY!! Trailer full of tools - and a moving blanket! Toss the blanket up on the 9 zillion degree motor so I can work on the tube... clean it up - put the clamp back on -- clean up - head out again - 10 minutes later - same "phoooooauuuuuufffffff".... CRAP! Repeat the procedure - but clean the hose (silicone tubing) with brake cleaners and both ends of the connection... all clean and neat.... 5 miles later - YEP! Same thing.... I look and the end of the hose is SOAKED with oil - so the hose is contaminated with hot oil - no amount of clamping is going to fix and hold....

Clean it all up - use some BLACK gasket goop Sensor safe.... let the heat bake that bad boy for a bit - double clamp (two smaller clamps made into one worked!) it all up. It holds til I get into Tucson and can get new hose...

From now on - I'm changing the hoses every year now...

I also have a 650i Drop top... Monaco Blue... black top. Sold the M5 - did NOT like the SMG... "not like" being "kind".

The new cool thing.... Breaking down on the way to SEMA. I read the posts and decided I had to one up the Ring Brothers.

Blowing out a front steering tire at 75 mph at 2:30 in the morning in the middle of nowhere AZ. 7 hours later finally got back on the road and made to SEMA in time.
