I was told 3 to 4 weeks when I ordered them direct. Called after 4 weeks and was told "2 more weeks" for the next FOUR months!!! I'm so beside myself I can hardly breath. They flat out lie to me about the wheels and "tooling up the factory" ect. ect.. Unfortunatly I really want this wheel in 18 and 20", they are the only ones I found that make em in plus sizes.
I need help, anybody else make these? They have had my money since the first day also.... :soapbox:

First of all yes, the pic is of an American Racing wheel. I'm getting the "Centerline racing wheel". American racing only goes up to size 17" on
their salt flat wheel. That's why i went with Centerline, they go up to 22".
So please change the title back...
Second I really don't give a #$% if you like the wheel or not. I personally think it will look great on my 62 impala with air ride. 20 in back 18 in front.
Third of all who cars how many post I have? Do you have to have so many before asking for help on finding a wheel? D-BAG.
I just want to know if somebody might know of a wheel just like it that is available. So THANKS to all those with helpfull suggestions, all others can go about your business. Thanks
Could you please change the title back though?

Didn't Edelbrock make a wheel like that? Or is it just a relabled AR?
Scratch that. I just looked and they don't list anything on their site. I thought I had seen them listed somewhere with the Edelbrock name on them. Sorry for the bad info.

Exactly what i'm going through except it's been 4 months. They say my 18 should be in the box soon, but no ETA on the 20's still. I ask then all kinds of questions also. Like "you shut down production while tooling up your plant?"
"How could you tell me 3 to 4 weeks when you KNEW that wasn't even close to the truth" ect. ect. They just don't have anything to say. Just, "yes, we are sorry sir, it's a custom wheel and take awhile"... Custom wheel? bwhahah, they weld the centers to the rim, REAL custom! I'm just in the same boat as you, I want that style of wheel.... :willy:

Hey guys, newbie here. I was just starting to shop wheels a couple weeks ago when my tire shop guy told me of the NIGHTMARES with Centerline. I was looking at the Boulevard, too. You can get this style wheel in American Racing cast or polished, Wheel Vintiques, Cragar (I think a "391"?) and Budnik. I will go for the Budniks myself, just because it fits my style and price range (sort of!). A set of 17x7 and 17x11 polished Murocs is $1697 to my door in California from a vendor in Indiana. I do not know how many of these are available in 20 or 22, though.
Styles: Muroc - least expensive, all polished, standard "stepped" rim. Going to a "Fat Lip" adds $400 per wheel to the 11" width. Muroc II is VERY similar, but kidney openings appear to be a little bigger. Muroc III is quite different in that the spokes are thinner, and peaked, and the wheel insets are satin finish. III is my favorite, but about $1,000 more per set in same size.
Oh, and the tire shop guy also said all manufacturers seem to be having trouble getting "hoops" right now to make their wheels. Still does not excuse Centerline from LYING! Hope this helps!

Funny you ask. The 2 front wheels showed up out of the blue on Friday. No call, no email like i asked so I could make sure to be home. But I just happen to be home. They are the look I wanted, quality is so so. Just happy to have 2 at this point. But then again, now I'm trapped and can't cancel my order, and they still won't give me an ETA on the rears still..
The guy at Budnik was very cool and prompt on mailing back and forth.

I wouldn't hold Budnik up too high. Twice I have wanted wheels from them, twice I have been told 16 weeks :wow:
The second time they compounded the issue by wasting 5 weeks. I thought the wheels were ordered and being made, I get an email saying..."Did you want to order the wheels we were discussing". I replied saying I did ...5 weeks ago. They said oh we though that was just an enquiry. When you see my email that says. Great those specs are perfect lets get started how do you want me to pay...I can't for the life of me see how that is an enquiry...
Twice I have gone with alternate suppliers.
Sure I am in Australia but shipping takes under 1 week.
Reality is every company can share great stories and all have horror stories. What is important is not to lie. At least Budnik told me up front it would be 4 months +
I know Rushforth don't make the wheels you want, I had to change my wheel preference also but did so simply on the basis that Jason seems to have a good rep and never heard anyone disappointed. i can say working with him on my latest set of wheels (second set and the car hasn't even hit the road yet) that Rushforth have been nothing short of excellent. Great quality customer service, which is all that matters at the end of the day, it's not about the wheel..plenty of wheel companies, plenty of wheels to choose from, it's about people and service.

I did not mean to imply Budnik is better than any other. The personal service I've received from Jay has been above any other company I have ever dealt with in all my years of working on cars. (I have not talked to Driverz Inc or Rushforth, though, and they seem to be VERY responsive to customers!) I've read MANY great things about other wheel companies like Rushforth. I would have gone with another company if there were another style I liked well enough.
I did personally witness the lack of quality on Centerline wheels, though. I would not consider Centerline after seeing their poor machining quality.:P

I can't even imagine how p1ssed you must be now having the fronts and no rear wheels. I wonder if they'd take the fronts back and give you all your money back?
I once heard someone say, "If it has t1ts or tires it will give you trouble." I have been married for over 20 years, and we have had some troubles but we're still together. Now, how many cars have I had? Probably more than 20.

Has anybody actually LOOKED at the wheels that were damaged? The damage may only be superficial. It could be that the boxes got beat to hell, but the wheels may be salvageable.
Maybe they need to send you a pic. You'd have to yell at a bunch of people to get fex ex to do anything, but a proper amount of pressure can get someone to move.
Even if the wheels are damaged, it may be easily repairable, and a hell of alot quicker than waiting till next year.
Just thinking.

Oh believe me, i've tried to tell them that!!! I've talked to shipping, manager, ect, ect. It's their policy they kept saying. I told them how long it took to get the wheel from Centerline and that I DO NOT want them sent back, I have lots of people who can fix them HERE!! They said they were on the way back already, which was a BOLD FACE LIE!! But hey, why would FedEx be any different than Centerline or any other POS company. Centerline say's "oh, they arnt to bad, we'll fix em up and sent them back to ya". Uh, I guess their idea of "not that bad" is different than mine?
Screw it. I took em, mounted tires on, the offset that I was TOLD to get and was measured by the guys doing my air ride, was WRONG..... So they didn't fit up in the wells. Sending back to Centerline to have the offset moved 3/4 inch. Another $400 into these wheels. I should have just done all this myself. Really turned off by all businesses at the moment. Are there any "stand up" people left in this world? :faint:

I do have a problem with them. But they are NOW out of thier space they leased. I was the last customer. They still have to try and fix why the car is riding lower on the passenger side, they can't seem to figure it out. Greg, your not to far from me. So if I need some custom work done in the future maybe I'll look you up.
And what's really funny is that I shipped my wheels UPS this time and the tracker still says they have been billed but not recieved the package to transport yet? For the last 4 days? lol. I love this stuff! :faint:
