Greg, Your car looks awesome. I've always liked the look of downdraft Weber/Dellorto carburetors on a V8(I know you have fuel injection). Anyhow, beautiful engine bay.

Stefan -- was just poking you --
If you look at the last pic in your series - you'd swear those are speakers of either side of the engine.... I know they're the shock towers -- but at first glance they also look like speakers - with the black rubber around the cone - and a cool colored cone - and a tweeter in the middle...
I think he was talking about the top of the struts looking like small speakers. And they do..... kind of.:D
It is a pretty killer car for a "daily beater"!!

The Garnet Red Camaro used to belong to my best friend. Afco air cleaner. K&N filter. I LOVED that engine bay. Lots of black. The first pic you posted with the BB chevy and Procharger was also a friends car. Its in Ohio now. I see you posted my engine bay in your pics. Got a Vintage Air Frontrunner since that shot and also many more miles! THANKS for the pic!

Quoted because I doubt anyone would complain about seeing this twice on one page! I'm pretty sure I got to hear this beast on the engine dyno at turn key when I dropped by one day, that is unless everyone with a with a Vette is dropping in Turnkey LS with a Kinsler intake.
Oh, and Shane, the intake manifold was built by Jeff at Precision Metal Craft, as anyone who has one can attest, the man can flat out weld,

There are some great looking engine bay shots on here guys!! Keep it up!
Here is one we have that is almost done. '67 GT 500 E Super Snake with a 482ci all aluminum Shelby FE freshly rebuilt by Gessford Machine. (Last shop that "tuned" it set total timing to 70* and surprise! it was knocking when we got it.) Upgraded the blower from a V2 to V7 so we had to machine a new S/C bracket and redo the tensioner system. Custom fabbed an intercooler system that all fit inside the GT 500 E body work then topped it off with a FAST XFI system on a CNC ported Edelbrock manifold. The FAST throttle body is hidden inside the carburetor enclosure to keep the vintage supercharged look. Here are the pics in final fitment- the plumbing is all back off right now and getting painted up to look pretty. Wiring and plumbing is being tied up and hopefully will be turning the key here soon!

Cool! Of course you Got It but do those look "Finger Lickin' Good"?
By the way, no word on the "Grille Screen" yet for a Prototype! I'll check again.
The top one is my engine when first installed in 1998.
Scott,

Here it is all the engine plastics are covered in 3M Di-Noc Carbon Fiber Vinyl.

Ha ha... thanks Brent. When you get that detailed everything starts to bother you. We sat the engine in and the Carburator might as well been painted pink from the factory. The "tumbled" alumninum look just wasnt sitting well with me. Took it off, apart, painted it and reassembled it. Now the damn accerator pump spring (red) stares me down everytime i look at it...

Thanks, nothing major. 350 bored .030 over to a 355, mild RV cam, crane 1.6 roller rockers, professional products crosswind intake man. 1" carb spacer, Holley 670 street avenger, cheap eBay hei distrib, flowtech ceramic headers, edelbrock water pump and a march v-belt pulley kit. The block was built for my last el camino and only has about 1,500 miles on it. I plan on upgrading to some better parts (MSD Ignition, Edelbrock Aluminum Heads, etc) next summer, i'm just ready to get her on the road.

1967 Shelby GT 500 E Super Snake. One of 32 completed as a Licensed Shelby Continuation Vehicle and one of 3 we have redone with this upgrade package. 482ci Aluminum FE, Vortech V7, intercooled with FAST XFI. Put down just under 800/800 at the wheels on a conservative street tune on pump gas. The owner has had it back for a year now and drives it every time the weather permits.
