Im looking to lay down a coat of two of some black prime. I was told to check out some DP90lf. Im not planning on painting anytime soon just want a solid color for when i decide to drive it around a bit. So my question is what would be a decent, cheap spray gun to lay this down with. nothing too high end being as this is probably going to be the only time i use it. Also what do i need to do with the prime i.e. add reducers or catalysts or anything (sorry if thats a dumb question, dont really know a whole lot about paint and primes).

any help here would be appreciated

I have a harbor freight gun that I shoot all my primers with and it works fine.

whatever primer you choose it will give you specs on what reducers to use. Check with your local paint store and you can always get great advice from them as well.

I bought a DeVilbis kit through Eastwood a while back. It came with a primer gun, a paint gun, regulator, gauge, and different size tips for the guns. I think it was called the Starting Line Kit. Everything including a t-shirt for $159. I've used both guns so far and am very pleased with both.
