Lets see...
We have to reinstall the bed and clean it up for the show
We have to install bumpers and powder coat fenders and finish the wrap.
We have to finish the rollcage, mount the fuel cell, oil cooler, and relocate radiator. Build door bars and engine cover. ( Long travel Teryx, built to go short course racing. )
Plus we have 8 display karts to finish and have powder coated.
We will be fine.....

I would be willing to bet NOBODY is finished and ready, if you say you are, you are delusional!

STEVE!!
That is a "dangling participial" -- NOT allowed in the publishing business my friend. Uh-Uh - No way!
Now... If I only had that mirror that Mrs. Whatshername on Romper Room used to have to see who was out there watching her on TV...

well this is ours as of yesterday...
finishing up steering and clutch right now, goes tomorrow for interior and top...
Boilermaker....looks like I am leaving on the same day....let me know if you want to caravan. It's going to be a long drive.
We have been thrashing and I hear(and see here) everyone is doing the same. I agree with Tim though....nothing is EVER going to be 100%...we will still have more to do after the show as well. The convertible above is supposed to head over to the upholstery guy tomorrow. My chrome guy has taken longer than he promised and lied about the ship date. Other parts are not shipping as quickly as they should and wrong and damaged parts seem to be the norm lately. I expect delays and issues but it seems that what we have been experiencing is just ridiculous.

We have 1 of the 10 cars going finished and 2 are very close but we have a long way to go. Good thing we are only 5 hours away from Vegas. Days are getting long.
We have 3 still going to paint man its going to be a long two weeks.

Hell, I can't remember what I said yesterday.. I must talk too much. ;)
We are just tweaking the suspension for more travel and the brakes for more of everything.
Oh, and cutting some weight.. did you know ditching the parking brake junk is worth 5 lbs of unsprung weight and 5 lbs of rotational weight?
Days are getting long.
No kidding....I don't even know what my wife and son look like anymore, I take my son to daycare in the morning and by the time I get home he is already in bed. 12-16 hour days are the norm for me. Between chasing parts and trying to make sure everything is handled not to mention regular business unrelated to this car that I am trying to conduct. Fortunately California is 2 hours behind...allows me extra time to call and follow up with those out there, but at the same time it sucks in the morning when you have to wait until 10AM to call people. If I could clone myself I'd be much better off :willy:

Man... You guy's have it made on the time thing. My stuff leaves next Thursday. No, it's not a car. It's the rigging equipment for the show. I think we rig the Ford booth.

Give me a shout @
[email protected] and we'll see what we can cook up.
WE are still waiting on a some very crucial parts. Some that are starting to scare me a little. I to know the pain of not seeing your family. There up and gone in the morning before I can drag my wore out body out of bed, then by the time I come in the house, they've been out for a few hours at least. And now stress is kicking in, you know finally getting in bed at 3 AM and laying there for two hours stressing and planning the moves for tomorrow

I'm the same way....my chrome plater promised 2-3 weeks and it has been over 3 months...he lied to me on shipping and now almost 2 weeks later I had to use *67 to hide my number and got him to answer the phone...he JUST shipped yesterday so it's Monday when it arrives. If the chrome job has problems I'm screwed at this point. There are still other parts lagging and my trim guy has pushed me back again to Monday. Good luck on your end...I'll drop you an email.

yea, waiting for parts is brutal.
brakes ship Monday... shocks on Tuesday.. The tires left today from Indiana. At least 90% of the Anvil CF parts are already in house.
Just need the rear spoiler from Jakes..
I say this every year but next year my car is staying home! lol
