I know a lot of people feel that giving a name to a project is kinda gay and corny but this car really needs a name.

A little background.1969 Mach 1 pro touring,598ci Jon Kaase built Boss hemi (1000hp),Air ride suspension,Tubbed,6 speed trans,10 pt cage,HOK red,Coddington wheels,custom interior,etc,etc.You get the idea.A one off 69 Mach 1.

My first thought is project "Kama Kaase".Reason being the engine going in this car will be just wild, crazy horsepower. The guy building the engine his last name is Kaase...pronounced causey.

Ideas?

It depends on what the car means to you. I finally picked a name for my own project based on what I wanted the final otcome to be like, but also what the project means to me.

"Legacy" because this was the first vehicle my late uncle ever bought new and his legacy he left me was the value of hard work, honesty, and humility. I'm going to build the truck with a level of quality and engineering that he would appriciate which gives me the warm and fuzzies...

This works. But only till we get pics. Any 1000hp 69 Mach 1 has to be bad ass for sure. But without pictures......

I am looking forward to seeing it!

I wouldn't include somebody else's name in the name of your car. The car should have it's own unique name. That's just my opinion. Also, you might change the engine in the future and then the name wouldn't apply. If you'd like to pay tribute to the builder of the engine, I'd just make sure the engine has his signature or name on it somewhere.

I was trying to think of some names the other day for my next project and generated a list. Since your car has got that brutal engine, maybe one of these names would apply:

Rampage
Big Tremor
Big Hemorrhage
Reign
Scourge
Onslaught
Brawl
Juggernaut
Defiant
Callous
Fury
My Little Pony  (sorry, that was funny!)

If you don't like these but think one of them or some other word you have thought of on your own might be close, you can always go to Google, type in that word and also type in the word 'Synonyms' and do a search. The first link in the results will take you to a Thesaurus site that shows words that are similar(that's how I generated my own list).

Picking out a name is tough! Good luck! Sounds like an awesome car.

This thread reminds me of a joke I once heard:

A young native-american girl walks into her uncle's teepee and sits down. After a while, she asks, "White Owl, how we get our names?" The uncle replies, "When child is born, father look outside teepee and whatever he sees he names child." "For example, when I born my father see a white owl fly over teepee, so he name me White Owl." "And when your mother born, her father look outside and see a deer running through the field, so she receive name Running Deer." The little girl sits and thinks about it for a while and then says, "Thank you White Owl for your wisdom." She is about to leave when the uncle asks, "Do you have any other questions, Two Dogs F_cking?"

Maybe whatever you see outside of your garage in the morning, you should name your car. :)
