I can't believe I have anything worthy of a project update photo.

We raised the car and shot underneath and fire wall.

Looks good. Dead Cat?

Because it's a '69 Camaro and you can't swing a dead cat without hitting one.. trust me I tried..

Is that yellow? ;)

Hmmmm, I'm REALLY liking the subframe painted the same color as the body.

I finally picked a color. It is Viper Racing Yellow.

I had always planned on painting the subframe the same color, but once you weld in subframe connectors and a roll bar it gets difficult to paint it something else.

The best part was I bolted the UCA and the LCA on for the last time.

The rearend housing is off the the powder coaters along with the rear leaf springs...they will be black

Looks good Payton is the car at the shop over by the speedway? I don’t remember the name turn two collision or something like that. Are you going to the Good Guys show this weekend?

I like the sub frame in yellow also. Wait to you start adding parts. It starts looking almost like a car again. LOL

frame looks great! I really like that C5 stuff. When you finish the car make sure and bring it to Fayetteville and run those backroads you were telling me about out SE of town. I still hadn't been that way, but I will one of these days. Keep up the good work!

The car is not at turn two in those pics. It will be going back there soon for the outside to be shot. For the sake of time and ease of him working my excelerated time table, I moved it to my metal guy's house, should leave their by Thanksgiving.

Yes, I do plan on going to the Goodguys event this weekend.

Yellow is a funny color as it changes depending on the light. I took about 10 pics withing 5 minutes and about half are one color and the other half are different. I will try and post one from under the car and you will see what I am talking about. the first picture I posted is the closest to the true color.

That is a 21st Century subframe with C5 stuff.

Thanks for all of the positive comments.

I would love to bring the car to NW Arkansas and run the "pig Trail" one more time. Some of my favorite driving memories were me coming home from college on the weekends. I have not been up there in quite some time. I will be in Little Rock for Thanksgiving, but I won't have time to make it up there.

Looks great. I also like the attention to detail by painting the subframes. I bet that baby will be glowing in the sunlight. Great decision on the VIper yellow.
Yellow always looks a lot brighter in the sun and in person.
