Booking rooms tonight for the Fletchers Crew and Ty!! And curious as to where everyone else is staying. Stayed at Flamingo last SEMA, but been staying at Planet Holleywood last few times I've been out for business. Looking at Hilton and MGM as there on the monorail and its easier to get to and from.

I stay across the street at the Riviera because the rooms have a brand new remodel and it's right across the street. No cab line, no monorail tickets, just a short walk over the sky bridge and through the parking lot where there's actually a gate in the back fence directly to the back entrance of the hotel.

We are at the Hilton. 10 minutes more beauty sleep, Lord knows I need it.

I have a condo on the south end of the strip from saturday to saturday...

I won't be there the whole week.. most likely the first part and the last part...

The Hard Rock would be more fun but this is sorta free.. :)

We stayed at the Flea Circus (Circus Circus) last year because it was cheap at $99. What a difference a year makes - we're staying at the Flamingo this year we got a rate of $69 per night! Wahoo - monorail, clean rooms and good looking hookers all-in-one!

The good looking ones are so worth the extra money.. or so I'm told...

That's a great price! I need to book our room and we were planning on staying at the Flamingo again this year....

I'd send a scout beforehand, there are so many other hotels that are way better and the rates are way down. Not only that but the Flea Circus is a bit off the beaten path and a good 15-20 minute hike each day as there's no monorail and the route is a bit indirect as you navigate around construction. I'm not kidding, it was bad and the restaurant closed at 6pm and no room service after noon which I thought was just ridiculous. I'll never stay there again for any reason at any price.

For 99$ a night the Hard Rock sounds like the dealio. Wonder what Venetian is going for. That is nice with the tram access too.

Circus Circus is known as the roach motel on the strip. I've heard it over and over from people over the years.

Flamingo again. It's just so easy to use the monorail and it's a decent place.

My wife said no way to C-C. She got us free rooms at the Venetian in April and she is trying to work a deal there again. She loves that place. Looking forward to my 1st sema show.

This year since the hotel discounts are so good. The company i work for paid for us all to stay at the Renaissance Hotel right near the entrance to SEMA.
No taxis or tram for us this year.

Sorry guys -- I'm on the "roller list" at the Bellagio... paid $159 for a double queen last time I went for SEMA ('07).

Seriously - since I'm a pyrotech (retired) - and have done shows from the rooftops of the strip for New Years... somehow they put me on this big baller list. I'm not telling them that I don't even spend $50 for a whole week of "gambling" there and that I don't drink either! Shhhhhhhhh

Scott --- re: train thing. Last time I bought a ticket for this thing - Was going to drop me off right there... YEAH RIGHT! Right there is the back of the hotel across the street from the Bellagio -- so you had to walk from the tram - through that hotel - then cross the street and walk to the Bellagio and then to your room.... and that's AFTER you've walked about a million square feet at the show! I took that exactly ONCE and gave my ticket to one of the hotel people. Those dang hotels all look "close" but you forget just how big they are!!! Each one is blocks and blocks....

We booked the Sahara again.....decent, clean...cheap....right on the monorail.... and a reasonable walk to/from the convention center if needed.

We're at the Imperial Palace again. The rooms are very clean and cheap.
The best part is that its located dead center of the strip and its the last stop on the way TO the Convention Center and the first stop on the way BACK.
Thats REAL good if you've ever had to stand on a crowded monorail !

Where do you guys usually park trailers and rigs at? I've parked out at the Orleans and it was even guarded by security but I was staying there. I was looking to stay somewhere else and wondering where to leave the trailer at? Any suggestions or experience?

We ended up parking just in the lot just south (across the street) of the Flamingo. I can't remember what hotel it's behind, but there are always a ton of trailers in that lot.

Across from the Flamingo is Ceasars I believe, and then next to that would be the Ballagio?

Thanks!
